The most authentic Mexican food I've ever tasted. Also, the root beer is simply the best in the world.

Blue Corn cafe offers solid Southwestern and New Mexico fair at decent prices. I ordered tacos, and the shredded chicken was well marinaded. The black and blue burger was tasty - well above average. The atmosphere is casual with an array of televisions on the walls for sports season fun. The restaurant did not disappoint on any front.

Had lunch at this place on my last day in Santa Fe. It's well located and has ample seating. There are a few vegetarian options. The food and service was decent.

We wanted someplace close to the Hotel where we could walk and get a nice, simple dinner. Most downtown Santa Fe restaurants offer exotic and up-scale food at up-scale prices. We didn’t want that. A place that we’ve eaten at before is the Blue Corn Restaurant. It is modest, simple and has had good food. And it’s in walking distance. We chose to go there. Being an off-season Tuesday they weren’t busy. Like pretty quiet. We could see no one in the restaurant part. We’ve eaten in their bar before, so we planned to do so this time. The bar is a large open area with high ceilings. There are booths along the walls and tables scattered around. We chose a high table next to the window where we could see the street below and the buildings across the street. The place is comfortable. But not charming. We began with chips and salsa. The chips were light and crisp. The salsa tasty. Not hot. A dish we’ve had before is their New Mexican Shepherd’s Pie. It’s a version with squash, corn, chiles and cheese. We liked it before. And liked it now. A simply great dish. I thanked my wife for sharing since it was good enough that if I had it by myself, I’d eat too much. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.

Absolutely excellent! We came in late and they were still accommodating. We had the Surf n Turf Fajitas, grilled corn chili soup, several Prickly Pear Margaritas, and flan. The music wasn’t too loud and it was tasteful. The service was excellent and the food was just right.

Enjoyed a leave dinner when we arrived late evening. Short wait. Waiter was very nice and we were pleased this place was so close to our hotel we could walk!

The pinto beans are excellent here. Just the right amount of spice and a break from the every day black beans. Blue Corn Tacos were really good with the shredded chicken and not too over filling. It as a perfect portion. The Indian fried taco was huge but if it was meant to be crispy it wasn't. It tastes under cooked and when you put toppings on it it just got soggy. Did not taste very good, like uncooked dough.

The tortilla chicken soup is the best I have ever had. The margaritas are always solid. The location right on the plaza is great and in nice weather, the best seats are on the patio. Great views too. Sometimes the service can be hit or miss, but the food is so good it really doesn't matter.

Stuffed pepper and enchilada and taco combo was one of the best meals I've ever had. Highly recommend! Friendly staff.

Really like the open, bright appearance of the Blue Corn Cafe. Started with a inhouse blonde beer. Delicious with a slice of orange.
The huevos rancheros were excellent. My Partner had a chicken wrap that she found very tasty. We only had lunch on a not so bust day but I would go back. Service was very friendly and it is priced right.

We were in Santa Fe a quiet week in early December, ahead of the crowded season, and we came across Blue Corn Cafe. (We don't plan, much.) Husband had green chili stew and I was happy to see a steak salad on the menu - sometimes hard to find. Husband like his stew, and the salad was HUGE! We split the salad - very good - as was husband's house ale. Good meal and service and we would go there again.

Pretty mediocre overall. Our table had chips and guac, fajitas and the blue corn tacos and everything was just ok but nothing special. Service was friendly but very slow and the margaritas were half ice.

I visit Santa Fe 2-3 times a year. I make it a point to have at least one meal here. The food is delicious. The marguritas are excellent. The staff is superb. One of my favorite places in town.

Place was empty so service was good. Food was different and very good. Only problem was rice was not hot and the staff acted like the restaurant was empty ... dragging trash cans through the dining room. Was noisy and disturbing while they did that. Rest of the meal was enjoyable.
