Today I went for an order of a whole chicken and when I got home the chicken had chili when at no time did we order chili…. Very bad service, those who serve in front are very disgusting with customers and answer them very ugly, definitely VERY BAD SERVICE

What an absolute gem. Quite possibly the best pollo asado I've ever had.I got the whole chicken which was a TON of food for an incredible price, and came with lots of sides (excellent fresh salsa, beans, corn tortillas, pickled onions, and a baked potato??). Leftovers were almost as good as the the first day. I can't wait to come back. Going to order another full chicken and take it to work all week. The wings also looked tasty. I wish they offered complementary water cups, but this is a small gripe in the big picture.

Their enchilado sauce is definitely spicy but good. One of the first places in mexico that finally has spicy chili in all the places weve been. Sorry food is gone. Definitely a place to go for good food and to try the new mexico red chile sauce (enchilado). Very satisfied.Just FYI their whole chicken serves maybe 3 people. And its a baked potato not fried potato you receive. Very recommend. Might come back later tonight for the wings. One pic of the place. Hole in the wall and well worth it!!

We love going to Del Rey Del Pollo for their flautas. They are the best we have found in Santa Fe.

The front person girl was kinda questioning like she was over charging me.... ordering as a first timer there. She even hinted to the cooks that I was a new buyer there cause I was not sure what they served. She didn't know I understood Spanish cause im light skinned and spoke English only which is a great advantage for the stereotypical people to see what they are speaking. Love looking white in these places where the don't expect you to understand Spanish ??

Outrageous! If you're a foodie, you just have to go here. Authentic Mexican Grilled Chicken. Soooo good. Come check it out. You won't be disappointed. Prepare to sharpen your Spanish, however. Was a bit hard to communicate. But the food speaks for itself.

Gluten free except for the flour tortillas they don't make in-house (purchased elsewhere.) Friend confirmed by asking in Spanish they don't use wheat in anything at all. AMAZING FLAVORS!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free

Flautas were Perfecto. Really good food and nice people so it's a good combo.

We run an auto shop down the street, and while customers are waiting I do not hesitate to send them down to El Rey Del Pollo for an inhumanly good chicken burrito - served with beans, actual avocado and proper good tomatoes. Flautas served fresh and without stale ends, pollo entero party platters for dinner, and the world's most ridiculously spicy salsa rojo. No joke, this stuff has to be diluted with other Mexican restaurants' salsa so you don't have to spend the whole time crying like when Mufasa died. It's like, past Thai hot. It is an experience. If you get one thing here, try the chicken burrito. They aren't messing around.

Got very obviously old chicken. It wasn’t just dry, it was just old and for some reason, was missing the skin on several pieces also didn’t smell very pleasant.. Spent the money and have to throw it away and still plan dinner..Disappointed.

This place never answers the phone, horrible customer service, and the chicken is pretty basic.

This place has the best pollo assado. Grilled/roasted (however they cook it). The chicken was fully cooked but not dry. The seasonings were enough that you could eat it without needing to add sauces or salt for it to taste amazing. Meat had the perfect smokey flavor. This place doesn't look like much, but was my favorite food of my trip to Santa Fe. If I am ever in Santa Fe I will definitely be back for more.FYI- I am not great with Spanish and the lady taking orders spoke primarily Spanish. If you don't understand Spanish it might be a bit difficult to get questions answered, but if you have to, you could point at the menu to order.
