I took a customer to dinner and there were six of us. While the wait staff was polite, they weren't as attentive with noticing drinks needing to be refilled. I also found it really difficult to eat there with having Celiac's there was only one gluten free option available (the steak) and one of the vegetarians at the table also only had one or two options as apparently the chef doesn't like to modify the menu at all. Five of six of us got the ribeye eye steak. It was ok. My steak was overcooked and the cuts of meat were much thinner than a traditional rib eye. Also, for dessert, one person asked for the chocolate cake and asked for a scoop of vanilla ice cream, since that was also on the dessert menu, The waiter said the chef doesn't like to modify anything. We asked if he could check, and he came back and said, “no,sorry.” I've worked in food service and hospitality and have been in customer service for over 25 years- this was definitely a less than mediocre experience especially for the money. I was embarrassed that I chose this dinner location for a business meal.

We love Estevan. In the summer it is very difficult to get a reservation so shoulder season provides a wonderful opportunity. We had fabulous locally-sourced food and Zack helped us pick the perfect wine (and sherry).

Estevans is Santa Fe‘s best kept secret... from start to finish. It is a five star experience. We arrived to a romantic cozy environment on a Saturday night and started with the guacamole appetizer which was tastefully and artfully done... The chicken piarf is phenomenal and so are the salads ...perfect date night environment... I highly recommend.

Diners should be told in advance that there is an extra charge for using a credit card instead of having this show up when receiving the check. If people know in advance they can be prepared with cash to avoid this charge.

Everything from start to finish was excellent. We were warmly welcomed. The specials were carefully described. The service was perfect, attentive without hovering. The food was perfect. We couldn't ask for a better evening.

Nice place overall. 2nd floor above noisy bar ( at least on our date). Attentive service. Fairly generic atmosphere. Wine prices moderate. Entrees average. Dessert better than average.

I'm terribly sorry to say this, everyone there was very kind and service and ambiance were lovely. But the food was very expensive and underwhelming. I ordered the $50 ribeye that was no more than 1/2" thick. It was so thin that indicating a medium rare temp was basically pointless. Not to be unkind but truly it looked like something you'd get at Denny's. There was a small accompaniment of steamed veggies and a couple potato wedges that came with it. I also had an $18 romaine salad that was 6 lettuce leaves, 3 croutons and no perceptible dressing. There was a lovely poached egg on top of it but egg yolk on lettuce leaves wasn't very good. My boyfriend had two frog legs that were good and the quail which was fine. But we left hungry and $200+ lighter for what was a very overrated dinner. Also $17 bland agave wine margaritas, $10 draft beer...just no. The cracking fireplace and quaint ambiance were nice.

The restaurant was quiet, cozy, and warm. There was a fire burning in the fireplace, adding to the ambiance. Our waiter Sean was polite, knowledgeable and attentive. My wife chose the salad, pheasant, and Tres Leches cake and I ordered the spicy meatball soup, the combination plate and the Tres Leches cake. The food arrived in good time, was served hot and was delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful New Year's Eve meal and look forward to dining here again.

A nice safety restaurant in Santa Fe. It's more expensive than other restaurants of the same caliber, and the portions are small. But that's why you can always get a seat on busy weekends.

We really enjoyed the food and service. I ordered the Ibérica pork dish and it was spectacular. My wife had the trout which was good but a little dry. The frog leg appetizer was also great. We enjoyed the ambiance especially meeting the chef who was going from table to table.

The service and the food were excellent. I would definitely come back here again. I had a daily special fish which was cooked perfectly and light & fluffy. The salad was refreshing. My daughter tried the rack of lamb which was superb. I even left my credit card at the end of the evening and they kept it for me.

Small portions for the exorbitant price. The salad was more a garnish than a salad. Quail was minimal and lackluster at best. Vegetables unseasoned and cold. Almond cake dessert had no almond taste, basically a chocolate chip cookie. Poor quality taste and presentation. $100. Christmas Day prefix - rip off. Would not go back.

We had a wonderful winter meal at Estevan. Our server was attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere was cozy and the fireplace was a nice touch. I highly recommend the lamb chops and the tres leches cake.

This is without a doubt one of the best meals I have eaten in Santa Fe in a long time. We ordered lamb chops, which were cooked perfectly medium rare, served with peppercorn sauce, fingerling potatoes, and spinach. (What a treat! A good-sized portion of vegetables!) We shared a salad, which was one of the freshest I have tasted in a long time (except for salads made from greens from my own garden...). The salad was perfectly dressed. Food is locally sourced. Estevan's is a special occasion splurge for us, but worth it. Maybe the food is especially good because the chef owns the restaurant???!!! He actually visits tables and asks diners if they are happy with their meals! This was not our first visit to this restaurant, and we have yet to be disappointed!
