I enjoy the newer menu, It has a fresher feel and it's innovative in some regards. I feel the broth in the ramen needs to be developed as it was a bit bland. I understand that it's a "vegetable ramen" but I struggled to find the vegetables other than a sliver of a carrot and spring onions. The prices are pretty good and the fish taste fresh.Parking: Parking in a free lot next door to the restaurant

First time visiting Kohnami and it was worth the visit. We ordered a variety of rolls and meals. Everything we ordered was amazing. The salmon nagiri is the best we’ve had, super fresh and it melts in your mouth. We will be back, definitely our new to go place. The food was great, the staff was awesome, they played great music, and the restaurant was comfortable. Thank you!

Santa Fe doesn't have a ton of Japanese options. We love Izanami, but don't love the prices and they often don't offer sushi. We're so happy to have found Kohnami to fill this void. Some of the best sushi I've ever had, unique rolls, and a fantastic atmosphere, including a room with traditional Japanese seating.

A very solid Japanese restaurant. Defintely the best Japanese food in santa fe. Went multiple times for dining and take out. Enjoyed everything except for the ramen. Great tea nice and hot and yummy. The only problem was the service. Our server didn't know the th menu well and forgot that our dishes came with rice and soup and we had to remind her for each one. Also didn't refill water glasses. Coming from someone working in fine dining for years. Otherwise I'd recommend the seaweed salad and the California rolls and the teriyaki beef. One last thing I'd say is this place is pricey so be prepared to spend a bit and like other Asian spots it's more about quality over quantity the portion sizes are very small.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available salads and sushi. And tofu.Parking: Only street parking available so during the day it's difficult.Wheelchair accessibility: No ramp and it's a bit tight

This listing has only a few dishes with a price on it. Delete this worthless listing.

If you are ordering sushi to go, Sushi 8 is far superior to Konami. My order was was wrong. Sushi order is only piece. The taste was okay, not worth the price for sure. Next time, I’ll give my business to S8.

Exceptional food. Service staff still learning their menu and ordering point of sale. Even though our order was delivered not as ordered, we are more than pleased with the food. Would definitely become a regular dinner if we lived in Santa Fe.

We have been going to Kohnami for several years. The food has gone down in taste and quantity. The waitresses always appears to be in a bad mood. What was shocking was that they automatically charged us, group of 4, 20% tip! To-go automatically charged 12% tip and when we dine we tip 18% or more but forcing customers to pay 20% is definitely not the right thing to do. And they had space below for additional tip. Hard pass! You guys keep bringing this nice restaurant down every year!

CLOSED!!! I’m surprised all sites say it’s open. Went to have dinner there, but there’s a sign that says closed indefinitely. I could see construction going on inside….

Inside was strange partly to see a place usually so vibrant completely empty. The air was a bit stale and the bathroom was serviceably clean. Atmosphere is dingier than it used to be. Who even runs this place? Kind of felt like a loose ship. Remains to be seen how the sushi will settle but was good going down!

This is hands down my favorite sushi spot in all of New Mexico. Coming from California, I'm used to some pretty top tier stuff. But after living in New Mexico for 4 years, I've gotten enough sushi yo know that this is the spot. Kick in the nose is my favorite for sure, but the staff are always nice and they keep the place super clean. 100/10

Staff aside from one worker seemed to take an off day. Smoking in the back patio with what looked like to be alcohol as well as seemed a little strung out. The other waitress couldn’t even open her eyes and the smell of weed was in the background. It took them close to 2 hours to even be served our room temp sushi and mussels that did not taste fresh. This has been the worst time we’ve had with this company. We were once avid customers but shall warn our friends about any upcoming visits.Vegetarian options: Not fresh and room temperature
