First off...I do miss the original Thai restaurant that was in this space. The prices were much more reasonable, the servings larger and the flavor of each dish was excellent. Thai on Canyon is still very good but the prices are high for a mostly take-out restaurant. I can only justify ordering food occasionally whereas I could eat weekly from the previous owners. That said, I'm craving Thai and will probably order some because it is much much closer than driving to SF or ABQ.
I love this restaurant!! Eldorado often feels remote from Santa Fe and the rest of the world. Coming from San Francisco I found there wasn't a lot of international cuisine. The previous Thai restaurant in the same location was just ok, not great, and then came Thai On Canyon at El Dorado! Highly recommend their new Friday buffet. Everything was fresh and super tasty. We absolutely loved the Krapow Gai Grob (Crispy chicken with chili basil sauce). A new dish for me. Very spicy. The basil was delicious. Must
