This incredible little restaurant is right across the street from where we were staying while in the Cape Breton area and it was the best meal so far on our trip. We ordered the fish and chips and the “kicken” chicken which were both cooked to perfection. Hot, tasty and delicious! The service was wonderful. It was packed and people kept coming in. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

We stopped by Kitchen 1409 and was very pleased with our meal. The seafood chowder was hearty and delicious, caesar salad was great as well. Staff were very friendly, welcoming, and checked in on us a few times to make sure we’re taken cared of.

We stayed across the street for 3 days and ate dinner here twice, everything is delicious! The wings, haddock bites with frites and seafood chowder are all amazing! We all really loved the seafood chowder, it is rich and delicious and you can get it in 2 sizes, cup or bowl - both served with the best biscuit in the world!!! For those who don't crave sea bugs - the chicken wings are also great, they make their own hot sauce and it's hot but still has a good flavour. They close early (7pm) so plan to be here before 5:30pm.Reasonably priced especially when compared to other places on the island. The staff here is lovely as well, friendly and kind. Worth a stop in.
