There's quite a few fruit flies...The food is always hot and delicious though, no complaints there. The service is just okay. Great people, but seem to stand around a lot when people need service (and I'm not the type to wave someone over, I personally find it rude, lol).In saying all of this, I go at least every 2 weeks for a get together with a friend, and we will continue to go forever. It's my favorite spot in Halifax, just some things you should know.

Went there on March 1st 2024 had the worst experience ever. All you can eat buffet I went with my two friends. We were told we ordered too much food and they didn’t even bring us everything we asked for. Never came to refill our drinks. Workers kept looking at us and laughing. Workers were extremely short when they came to our table not willing to help out with answering any questions we have. We all left feeling disrespected. The quality of the food was terrible. We will never return here again.

This is the most authentic sushi restaurant in Halifax. There are many varieties of sushi. The sashimi ingredients are very fresh. The sushi chef's skills are very good. Their stir-fries are also very unique. The chef is very good. The tempura shrimp is better than other sushi restaurants. They are all large, and the frying technique is very good. The color is golden and the taste is very good. The two waitresses are very young and beautiful, and the service is super great. The manager is very friendly and the service is very attentive. This store has superb cooking skills and excellent service. Finally, I would strongly recommend this store.

I’ve been here multiple times and the all you can eat sushi is in my opinion the best you can get in NS. Good size rolls, plenty of options! The service is always amazing and attentive.
Great value for AYCE dinner at 31.99 on Thursday. So many options and all seemed to be of good quality.

Simple,yet exquisite!We are on the hunt for a place for our daughter's birthday. Our family loves sushi, that's why a sushi place is a great place to celebrate a special day.We have been to other sushi restaurants, which are also great but here's how I think Genji is different.The food menu is not too overwhelming and just enough choices.The staffs are great on making sure that we are comfortable and enjoying our meal.Not too "asian" approach. Well, if you're Asian you get what I am saying. I am Asian, sometimes we look strict and forget to smile.Price for lunch is way cheaper that dinner. Yet, dinner has more food options.Don't forget to order seaweed and mango salad. It's a great start before having your sushi!We enjoyed our food so much, we will be celebrating our daughter's birthday here!
