We have been craving authentic Ethiopian cuisine since we moved to Halifax in 2018, and this place did not disappoint! The restaurant itself is cozy and welcoming with friendly staff and can't beat prices. The menu is small but mighty. I find it hard to choose something good when presented with too many options so this place was perfect. Since we are creatures of habit, we ordered the Beyeayent which is different stewed meat and vegetable dishes served on a platter of enjera (flat bread) that you eat with your hands. There are vegetarian and vegan options as well as authentic Ethiopian roasted coffee. Do yourself a favour and check this place out, we will definitely be back.

This is an incredible restaurant. The service is friendly and fast. Prices are great and the food is amazing. You don't need to look at the menu, just get a combo plate for the number of people in your party.

Wonderful little gem of a place, always greeted with a smile and have never had a bad meal. It is really authentic , you eat with injera bread ( kind of like a heavy pancake) and your hands , we always get the variety meal and it always taste great ?Parking: Small parking lot but have never had an issue , when full lots of street parking as well

Cool little Cafe to eat Ethiopian food. The waitress and owner , ( same person ) was lovely and asked if it was our first time and gave us a sampler plate.Very good sampler plate, the fermented bread, salad, lentils, meat stew, mash and pork was very good.Our Shay teas were very good as well.Reasonably priced and we were full.Only downside is it's a small area to dine in, maybe 20 ppl can eat in and the parking lot is super small.

Best food makes my heart and soul warm whether I’m having a bad or a good day. When I need good vibes this is where I go. Tsehaye is so lovely, makes the most delicious food and works so hard someone needs to gift her with an all expenses paid vacation. Sit in dining is cozy with lots of beautiful art to appreciate ? The traditional coffee is so yummy! I do takeout often cause I’m so busy but love when I get any chance to stay and eat in✨
