It has been hard to find good Mexican food that isn’t really over priced in Halifax. Cheachies strikes a good balance. My family and I really enjoyed the food.

We just had an amazing meal. Whether you like Mexican cuisine or more traditional Canadian fare, Cheachie's is where to go. Their "Mother Cluckin'" chicken fingers were perfectly seasoned and juicy, and the fries were cooked to perfection. Ask for gravy on the side, and you won't be disappointed.My partner had the chicken quesadillas, and they were fabulously flavored and hearty.This place is a wonderful hidden gem that's been in Halifax for years, but still doesn't get the praise that it's due. I think you should give it a shot!

The fries tasted and looked like they were fried in old grease. The server was absolutely miserable with everyone that walked through the door, the guy greeting customers was not exactly inviting, either. Definitely will not be returning to this location and stick with Mexico Lindo in Dutch village.

The food here is amazing. The prices are excellent. The three Taco deal for $10 which is a regular menu item is amazing. I have no idea why there are two dollar signs. The prices here are fantastic. The staff are really great to get along with. It feels very family-oriented when you go in there. It feels like being a guest at someone's house but in the good way not the awkward way. I go here as often as I can. The location can be a little tricky to find as it's a bit of a hole in the wall but not too hard and it's definitely worth looking it up on Google Maps. It's right around the corner from Wendy's in a small retail location. I literally can't get enough of this place and actually have to exercise restraint otherwise I would order here all the time

I ordered two sets of carnitas tacos. They came super sad and wilted, the meat looks like it was left in a warmer all day, it's dry as leather and there's an overwhelming amount of cilantro and very little sauce. It's dry and disgusting. I'm so disappointed that I spent more than $20 on this.

I can not say anything about the food. We didn’t eat anything there as we got thrown out. We walked in And the man was seated behind a computer and told us to sign in. As we were a group of 5 (2 families), we entered 5 names And 5 numbers as he requested of us. Then, this is where things turned bad. We were pointed to a booth at which the seat was in very bad condition. There were rips And areas where the vinyl was ripped off the seat. Even duct tape. I asked if we could sit at another booth, And he very curtly stated that as we had a minor we could not sit there. (There were only 2 other tables occupied). I pointed out that seats he wanted us at were all ripped, And his response “I can’t help it if families allow their children to jump all over the furniture And rip it”. My response to that was “sorry about that but it’s not my fault” He said “Leave. I don’t want you here I’m not going to serve you. Leave now”
We finally made it to Cheachie’s Grill today. It does take a bit of effort to find this place, but the search is worth it. This restaurant is located in a bit of an industrial area and unless you are paying close attention, you could drive right by it. We decided to do takeout and ordered a Chicken Burrito Platter $16.45 and a Veggie Burrito Platter $15.35. The burritos were big and delicious, so good. The tossed salad was varied and really fresh and the rice and beans were excellent, too. This is a great little Mexican restaurant and we will definitely be going back.

Grabbed take out this evening. Very friendly owners. While talking it came up about how my son is a picky eater because he is autistic.They made him chicken strips and fries just to see if he likes it and wouldn't accept payment for it. (My son did eat the fries) Burritos I ordered were great as always, we will be back to try more things very soon :P Excellent customer service!!! <3

From the moment i walked in the door it was immediately a friendly atmosphere, the food was so good it took me to a different realm free of all pain and suffering, there was only beauty and pleasure. The atmosphere was very authentic, and was a 10/10 experience all around. Will definitely be returning!
