Been trying to get here for over a month as I've been in and out of town and glad I was finally able to make it.Originally came in for a lobster roll, but went fish and chips as it was suggested to me. I'm very happy I gave it a try because the fish and chips were delicious. A house made tartar sauce would make it better, but the pre-packaged sauce was still better than most.I will definitely be back, and looking forward to trying a lobster roll on that visit.

Fish is dried out as well the fries had haddock tips yesterday thought well one mistake but went back today it’s like they are cooking the fish twice? Not good

I believe the business was sold a year or two ago. It has really gone down hill. We stopped by for fish and chips and were the only customers there. The place looked old, sad and dirty. Two staff members gossiped nonstop from the time we arrived until we left. The food was very greasy.There is a door leading into a back room and it is shocking how filthy that door was. I was trying not to look at anything closely while I was eating. If those gals spent half the time cleaning as they did sitting around gossiping they could turn the customer experience into something much more pleasant.

Chowder was fantastic. Fish was average. The chips were not hot enough. Liked the dinner style counter service very nostalgic. Fish should not have been double fried.

I'm not sure why this place has good ratings. The lobster roll I ordered on Uber eats looked and tasted like they made it days ago. Not much meat, the bun was dry and falling apart. Not so sure this even passes as food?All the meat shown in this picture was outside of the bun. None actually in the bun. And the lettuce wilted.Everything was cold but no idea if that was Uber Eats prioritizing other orders or if it was cold leaving the restaurant.It was gross.

Hi, My husband and I were there on Thursday around 4:30pm and the person who waited on us was a long standing employee who is lovely. However, she went into the back room. The person who was frying our fish and chips was non stop yapping to another young girl working in the back. She overcooked our fish and chips and just kept yapping to the other person who looked at us a couple of times, knowing the person yapping and never stopped. I found this person to be very rude and self righteous. I don’t know here nationality. I sure hope the owners who are lovely talk to this person and remind her to maybe chat away when nobody’s in the establishment.We were the only ones there at the time.Thank you,The Connolly’s

We tend to eat out a lot when we are traveling for hockey so we get to eat at lots of restaurants. We are a family that loves fish and there is not a star ranking high enough to say how delicious it was! We will 100% be going back the next time we are in Bayer’s Lake.

I thought the fish was incredible, absolute perfection. The fries would be better with gravy or the "newfie" topping... However I am not a fry fan... Great little spot and would love to come back. Terrific weekday special 12-2 pm of a two piece fish and chips for $12 plus tax. Very nice staff! :)

The only thing I would like to see changed is the plastic cutlery. I hope they change it to a more environmentally responsible option. Otherwise this place is wonderful. The staff are only to happy to split an order between two plates. They don't care that people share orders.
