Mixed outcome at this diner for breakfast. Unpretentious interior with a selection of booths and some tables.Serving staff was friendly and topped off coffee frequently however, our order either got lost or misplaced. Eventually asked server to check on order. Expect in a small restaurant that the server should be able to observe that other meals are coming out ahead.Blueberry pancakes and omelet were good enough.breakfast potatoes are either deepfried or from a package not homemade pan prepared.Enjoy going out for breakfast, so would give it one more try and maybe go for eggs Benedict.

Soooo, Came in for a late breakfast on a Sunday. Bought myself a delicious PSL before hand down the street, because I figured they probably dont make those, and only saw their 'no outside drinks' sign when I got to their inner front door out of the street. They had a very high-strung lady come over and start seating me right away and before I sat down I asked if could put my (delicious $8 drink) in one of their mugs, is it still okay to have, etc...She cut me off to say it was fine and then went on a tangent about how she'll do my a big favour by allowing it while hustling me into my seat and asking me where I'm from and how 'around this area' no place anywhere would say yes to that but since I was so special and curteous she would make an exception just for me.Honetly, I was totally fine with getting a 'no' answer. I would have left to go somewhere else, and just shrugged it off because there are other options nearby where places are more relaxed about that, but it was kind of an awkward whirlwind. She then asked if I wanted a glass of water, which was nice I guess, and when she got the water she brought it up some MORE, asking where I'm from (which I didn't engage with) and giving me a weirdly condescending lecture about how its common curtesy NEVER to bring a drink into a restaurant and how from now on I should never do something like that (mind you, while doing me the big awkward favour of letting me sit down anway. Remember, I asked before getting a seat.) But since I did ask and was SO curteous I would be getting special treatment (big saracastic 'your welcome' energy) getting annoyed but still too awkward to get up and just leave, I told her there were a lot of places that are fine with it, especially now. She doubled-down on her common curtesy lecture (at this point I'm wondering if she thinks I'm having a baby-face day and should be flattered that maybe she thinks I look young??) and ended off by asking me "WHERE are people okay with that?"At this point I was almost pushed too far, and if she didn't just drop it, I'd be tempted to leave, but I was hungry and was already sat down, "So, its anywhere were you ask first before you sit down." (The worst they can tell you is no - or so I thought.)And I told her that I would do it countless time more as long as I could ask and just accept whatever their answer is. She mercifully shot me one final condescending comment before taking off to work through their quickly starting brunch-rush, but was very irritated over a million little things - which I got to hear about because they stuck me in a small corner with a direct view of their cash-out area for her to gossip about all of the diners with the young girl they had waitressing. She even brow-beated a table of 6 (meant to be a table of 8) when they had to tell her their last two friends were arriving a little late, asking them what must have been almost every 5 minutes where the last two where, because they 'needed to keep turning the tables around!!' Glad I wasn't one of them. The girl they had taking orders was nice/normal, so I left a physical tip and made sure to tell her it was 'just for her' but I'll never know if she got it off the table in time - probably should have brought it with me to the cash-out counter. Also, marked them a low score for the food itself, because their eggs benny had an overcooked English Muffin / home fries and the whole thing was WAY too salty. Not worth the 20 bucks it came out to.

We came for the vegan breakfast options. The tofu skillet was fantastic. We got gluten free bread with it which was tasty and crunchy. Since the home fries have gluten the server recommended we substitute potato Pattie’s and those were excellent too. They were similar to hash browns but not as greasy. The VLT was delicious as well. The highlight is the vegan bacon from Real Fake Meats. Possibly my favourite vegan bacon.
