Qiu Brothers deserves more recognition, their food is super delicious, always consistently good, helpful and friendly service. I love coming here to eat, the pork and lamb dumplings are so good.

Been meaning to try this place, b ur always changed my mind and got something else! Finally made it out here today and I'm very glad I did! Love how the dumplings are juicy so it's def homemade! The wrapping seems fresh too coz it's al dente, first time trying al dente dumpling wrappers! Absolutely delicious! Will definitely come back next time I'm back in Halifax! If you check in you get free potato salad appetizer!!

This place was quite good! Different than what i expected, it was a lot more traditional than the dumplings I've had from other places. I had a combo with rice, spring rolls, and chicken balls and my boyfriend had pan fried shrimp and pork dumplings. My mom had pork dumplings with soup which I tried as well. It was all very good except the soup was a bit spicy for me. I definitely want to go again and try some other dishes. The dumplings were different than I expected but still good. The rice was my favourite. Servers were kind and prices were pretty good

Had high expectations I suppose becuase of the good ratings, unfortunately it was not great. First off we ordered 2 sets of dumplings, both pork, one steamed and one pan fried with an order of Szechuan beef.The place was empty aside for one table of two just finishing up.We waited over 30 minutes before the waitress who was very kind, came over to tell us they were out of pork.The dumplings that were replaced were beef, they are tough and all very inconsistent but the filling even though very small, was alright.The order of Szechuan beef was the strangest part of this whole process.. I have had lots of different styles of the classic dish, but this one is served cold with large chunks of cucumbers and is not spicy. Infact there is no spice at all of any kind.I asked her if she had perhaps accidentally swapped orders with somebody else but she confirmed it was what she calls the Szechuan beef.I really don't like cucumbers so I was pretty disappointed ?

It is a treat to find a restaurant with the authentic Chinese northern home food flavours. Great price for tasty and plentiful food. A gem in the heart of down town Halifax, if you want a hearty noodle soup.

I love dumplings and was very excited to try this restaurant on our vacation. We ordered carryout to take back to our hotel , steamed chicken, fried pork and steamed vegetarian dumplings and we were very disappointed. The small amount of dipping sauce wouldn't have been enough if we had eaten all of them but we only were able to finish about half except for the veggie ones that we only had one each since they were so bland. Very little flavor in any of them.

Really great experience. The server was very nice and welcoming even though she had a million takeout orders. I got some dumplings to go and they made sure I knew how to cook them properly. The vegetable dumplings are super-tasty and the pork bun was incredible. Very fairly priced as well. Can’t wait to go back!
