Basically got denied service because I have kids. Went with my young kids to eat early 5pm and was told we couldn't eat there. Staff said they were fully booked, but the place was empty. I had looked online earlier in the day and the earliest booking was at 6pm, so figured they wouldn't be too busy at 5pm if we just walked in. We wouldn't have stayed long anyway (maybe an hour), but they still would not accomodate us. I didn't argue with them or make a fuss, but staff were pretty condescending and didn't make me feel great about being there. Unfortunate, because I will likely take my business elsewhere in the future.Update: Decided to go back since the response to my initial review. Have been happy with the service the last couple times. The food is always good.

Went here for a dinner with a friend on a weekday and it did get quite busy. Fortunately we had made a prior reservation online. Our server Aastha was super nice and suggested us one of the available beers to start. It was really great and quite strong! We then proceeded to have the Spicy Cauliflower and the Italian Fries. Both of which were good and the fires came with Garlic Mayo. The spicy cauliflower was nothing like the kind I’ve had so far in Halifax and easily sits at the top of my list. That’s something I know I’ll order every time I go back here. For the mains, we ordered a Cheese Detroit Deep Dish Pizza with few custom toppings. It was really great. The cheese was fresh and the entire base was quite fluffy. It did take them quite a while to get this out but no compromises on the taste front. We also got a Strawberry Shortcake for dessert and my goodness it was heavenly.Vegetarian options: Plenty of options in their menu and they allow other customizations too!

If you can’t make it to New York City by dinner time, Rinaldo’s will surely fulfill your craving for authentic Italian-American eats.A few friends and I popped in for a late dinner last night to celebrate a birthday. As always, we had a wonderful experience from beginning to end.Our server, Aastha, was lovely, personable and attentive. The food was fresh, flavorful and well-executed. We had the opportunity to share a few sandwiches, pizzas, salads and appetizers. The ambiance was comfortable and fun. Highly recommended for an all-around great dining experience in HRM.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best pizza I have had in Halifax! And the pickle fingers are so special!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza is also great!
Iam there for pickup an order for uber eats and waited for 15 minutes . I showed my phone 3 times to girl on front . She didn’t even respond single time. This was the worst experience.

I have went to Rinaldo's several times in the past, but always ordered take-out. I highly recommended this spot to many of my friends and decided to make a reservation to dine-in. My friend and I placed our order fairly quickly upon arrival. We waited and watched as tables were filled after our arrival order and receive their food. We were not checked on until 45 minutes after placing our order. I asked the waitress kindly if they forgot to submit our order to the kitchen, she became defensive and I said it is simply a question. She said they are busy and have take-out orders to fill. I said I understand, however, I have watched tables come after us and are eating. Long story short, we never received our food after an hour of sitting there. We were only checked on once after the order was placed and so we left. I have never been treated so poorly in an establishment around Halifax and to receive attitude with one simple question really turned me off of this place. I won't be back and have removed them from social media as I do not support local businesses that treat people poorly. If you are ordering pick up the service is good, but to sit in is another story. There were other mannerisms this waitress displayed throughout the evening towards me, but why bother list them all. My experience is my own so use your own judgement.

Friend and I came in for brunch around 2pm on a Sunday. We we're given a friendly greeting and my friend asked about a fruit like bowl by the front bar. Waitress told us about it and we ordered some, and it was very light and refreshing. I ordered the benny, since the Philly steak sandwich was a special, they don't always have. My friend ordered a full breakfast of sausage, eggs, toast, beans and other stuff. The place was going steady, for a late Sunday brunch, and we waited maybe 30 minutes or more before we began to wonder. My friend checked in and they said it takes about 30-40 minutes; I guess they just have the one cook on some quieter days, and it has to do with different food components and how it's cooked up. Must take longer that way with one person. So while you can be waiting a fair while, the food is often amazing. My roast potatoes were so hot I had to let them cool. The hollandaise sauce was very nice. My friends sausage had a very fresh fennel flavor that made her happy right away.I would recommend this place, as the food is always amazing.*** Updating my most recent visit, Sunday Jan 28th. The Elvis was very good, with an amazing peanut butter mouse! The bacon was very crispy. If I got it again I'd ask for softer cooked bacon. But quite a treat, and so was the nutella Italian style doughnut. The server so super friendly!Parking: Usually I just tuck down a side road and park somewhere. Probably you could park by the Needs if it's not busy there on a Sunday and are not too long.
The pasta was not what was described in menu .Portion was very little which might have been okay if it was good. The garlic bread with cheese was 5 pizza dough balls with mozzarella on it.The fries with sub looked like what you would see at bottom of deep fryer. The chicken was a decent portion but the tomato sauce tastes like hunts out of the can.Nothing Italian about this meal.Very disappointing.Priced high so we were expecting something of good quality made by a qualified cook.I would not recommend this restaurant.I come from a culinary background and never give reviews but this time I had to.
