Right now, they have the best vegan donair in Halifax. It's not exactly the same as the original - the meat is thicker and less spiced and the sauce is less sweet - but the result is something very delicious. Pair it with the dragon fries and you will constantly come back! Lots on the menu that's good, and their specials are great. Love their pressed juices too.

I absolutely love this place! The food is absolutely amazing, with flavorful ingredients, that showcased a perfect balance of textures and tastes. And the atmosphere is relaxed and accepting. It is the best vegan restaurant I have ever experienced. ?Vegetarian options: So many amazing plant-based options to choose from!

Vegan comfort food in a cozy laidback environment. During a weekend visit to Halifax, the Wild Leek single-handedly nourished me (I ate there 3 times ?).As a little family owned business, the staff made me feel super comfortable and at home. The food is something I will now crave indefinitely.Food highlights were the breakfast bowl (highly recommend also adding the grilled tofu), and The Chickun Burger! Their famous Dragon Sauce is to die for, so you know I definitely brought a tub of that home with me!I look forward to eating here again next time I’m in Halifax!

The food and the service were both top-notch! We had the Wild Bowl and the Mushroom & Cauliflower Alfredo, pictured here. We also ordered some takeout items for the next day - Rise 'N Shine Breakfast Wrap, Titanic Burrito, and the Buffalo Chick-un made into a wrap. Everything was so tasty, and the wraps were good more than 24 hrs later! The wedges were so good, too! And the cold pressed juices were also yummy! The staff were so nice and answered all my questions and were super helpful. Looking forward to visiting Halifax again just to go back here!

Burrito had everything I wanted in it, plus the Dragon Fries were a nice surprise.

An excellent little vegan place that I've been to a handful of times over the last decade. It's small inside, so if you want to guarantee a table, you may be best to go at off-peak meal times. Today I just called in an order to go, to bring back to work. The Wild Bowl looked to be one of the healthiest items on the menu. (The whole place is very healthy conscious, but I wanted less calories today). My two coworkers said it smelled very strong when I opened it. I'm recovering from covid, and my sense of smell and taste aren't 100% yet. So to me it wasn't strong, but what I did taste was good, a touch of sesame in the dressing, but no heat as expected, for its name of 'dragon sauce' served on the side. The broccoli, kale, carrots & cabbage were very fresh and crispy. The sliced tofu was a good amount worth. Little bit of spreadded beets hiding in there. A good quantity of brown rice as the base. I am content after eating it, not full, but just right for a weekday lunch.Friendly staff.I will be back sooner than later!

I was not impressed with this place, especially for a "top rated" Happy Cow restaurant. The server was not at all welcoming and didn't have very good customer service. The ambiance is not very nice. The place is freezing. They don't have any cafe drinks despite us along with the 2 other tables in, all asking about espresso and the server saying she gets asked everyday and has told the owner multiple times that its what the people want. The food was honestly not good, EXCEPT the caesar salad which was absolutely amazing for some reason. We had upgraded our wrap to "crispy chicken" instead of tofu but when it came out, it looked like tofu, so we asked the server if it had been swapped (no problem if she had forgot, she memorized our order so we were just making sure we weren't charged for it if not) to which she replied "yes its correct, this is a vegan resturant, we don't have real chicken". Which my partner and I (both long time vegans) thought was a bizarre way to answer our inquiry when it was clear what we were asking and she knew that. Anyways, I would not come back here and wouldn't recommend anything but the caesar salad. We gave the left overs to our dog. Updated from previous review on 2023-10-18
