My photo doesn’t do this place justice! Home fries are great with lots of flavour, eggs perfectly done (over easy) and bacon was crispy! Came here for breakfast the whole weekend I was in town.

GREAT breakfast! Breakfast/Brunch is my favourite meal to dine out for (admittedly I go out to eat quite often) and the Big Street Breakfast did not disappoint. Everything was perfect - crispy bacon, delicious housemade hash browns, BEANS! Who doesn’t love beans!? The staff was friendly and attentive. I love a casual neighbourhood spot. If you’re looking to add a breakfast spot to your North End/West End rotation, I highly recommend checking this place out. Looking forward to going back soon!

Nice clear, fresh dining room. Quite a lot of seating. Limited lunch menu but a good variety. Service was attentive.Parking: Parking on side streets. There is construction in the neighborhood so the workers are taking a lot of spots.

The main complaint I have with Windsor Street Diner is, it’s in Halifax and I’m not!!! Delicious food, great service and amazing prices. Most definitely recommend!!!Kid-friendliness: My kids are grown now, but I would have been very pleased by their kids menu when they were young!

Was looking for a quick, close breakfast.. and found this place on Google. I’m glad I checked it out! Very good classic breakfast plate, with lots of crispy bacon and homemade home-fries. Service was quick and friendly and the price was good. I was expecting more diner vibes, but it’s clean with a decent amount of seating.

3rd visit yesterday. They never disappoint. Breakfast wrap is so good! Prices are good, clean and bright, and one of the very few places that offer something other than pork products on their breakfast wraps. Most places only offer bacon, ham or pork sausage, no good for those who don't eat pork. This restaurant also offers chicken and fish on the wraps, great alternative for those of us who do not eat pork but end up paying for it in other restaurants who have a set price for breakfast wraps whether or not you have the pork on it. And this restaurant includes coffee with the wrap breakfast along with salad, or hash browns. You don't see this in many restaurants, coffee etc are considered extras which jacks up the price. I will soon try their lunch menu

We’ve been in Halifax for 2 weeks and this is the only meal my 80 year old grandpa has thoroughly enjoyed. He said it was “perfect,” and that’s a big compliment from him. We ordered through a food app and it arrived hot and delicious. He had the Big Street. Very generous serving.

My first visit when this place opened was unmemorable, a weekday lunch with a friend, where we each actually tried a basic breakfast. The place was mostly empty. I noticed recently that they added more menu items, which intrigued me into going again on a weekend. Tried the vegetarian breakfast bowl, and really enjoyed it. Filling and probably the healthiest thing you can order here. I came back today, a gray Sunday in December. Tried the breakfast wrap this visit. It is small and served a side of salad or home fries. I asked if I could get half & half, which they agreed. For only $10.50, this has got to be the cheapest "full breakfast" that you can get in the city, outside of fast food. The small portion was exactly what I wanted, to not be sufferingly full afterwards. It also was actually good, with hot scrambled egg, bacon, bit of veg, I think cheese as well. Friendly service. The place itself is a basic atmosphere with probably seating for 30? Long & narrow layout with some tables right at the front, some two seaters along the wall that leads to another dining section in the back. I'd like to go back to try the strawberry chocolate pancakes and maybe a few other items.

As a local, I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s nice, comfortable, and the breakfast is fantastic. The breakfast is delivered shortly after it’s cooked, so it hasn’t been sitting a window for a few minutes. We ordered the Big Breakfast, The Benny (Vegetarian), and the blueberry pancakes. I would recommend of if these to anyone who comes in. I will say, me and my wife were both in love with the home fries, they are nice and crispy and super tasty!Vegetarian options: My wife is a vegetarian and had the Spinach and Avocado Benedict with Pancakes.Parking: We parked at the corner of Cunard and Windsor in the parking lot, it’s reserved during the week but free on the weekend.

We went for breakfast and really enjoyed ourselves. We'll be back. We each had a different Eggs Benedict. Beautiful Hollandaise and perfect eggs. Coffee was included and delicious. Service was friendly, quick, and competent. Atmosphere is not so much diner as neighbourhood café, bright and clean, with relaxing music.

A friend and I had brunch at the Windsor Street Diner today, and the meal was outstanding. We both ordered the same thing: eggs benedict (eggs poached medium) with spinach and avocado, and a side salad. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the flavour and texture combination of the crisp English muffin, the eggs, spinach and avocado (including the hollandaise) was excellent. In my mind, the mark of a first-rate restaurant is the high quality of their side salad, and this one did not disappoint -- lots of different and very fresh greens, julienne bits of other vegetables, and a dressing that was both light and flavourful. I will be back! I did go back, and the meal the second time was disappointing. it's a new restaurant, so they're experiencing growing pains, I guess. I'll keep going, though.

Great spot, it should be way busier than it was. Been there twice, Eggs Benedict were delicious, then bacon and eggs, also excellent, hash browns ?. Drove by the Ardmore on the way home (which I also always enjoy). Big lineup outside, glad that I went to the Windsor Street Diner. Good tunes playing too. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.Parking: Closeby on street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Looked accessible to me.
