“Visited a while back when I was in Halifax, this place was very cool! It’s very nice to experience Filipino culture incorporated into fusion-style bakeries. A lot of the pastries looked delicious and they also serve breakfast; which is such a staple in cafes or bakeries back home. Their Ube Dalgona coffee and Ube Grilled Cheese is to die for; the reason why I came back to write a review was because I was thinking about it today.Their 2D style cafe is so unique! “Italian desserts and coffee remind me of Italy - very original! The only drawback to the place - there's only a small area to sit, like 8 spots inside. Since it's usually packed with customers, you are forced to take your food and expresso to go.“

“I did not ask where they were getting their coffee beans, but the cup of black coffee was just perfect. First time, and I will be back. The breakfast sandwich was also very tasty and toasted just right. I have to come back for their cinnamon bun - they were just taking it our of the oven.“

“I’m a regular and I have to say, this place is amazing!Service and taste has been consistent from the start. Their chocolate doesn’t have that “generic” taste to it and really hits the spot. Their dipped cones are so good and their fondue tins are a must try! I had their hazelnut fondue tin with some crispy dough snack I had at home and it was such a delight! You can also mix different chocolate flavours which is awesome when you want to try something new. Their other desserts are also great. They are generous with the servings and chocolate, something which my friends and I appreciate. “Definitely recommend checking out Cabin Coffee! The aesthetic inside is really unique and makes you feel like you're in a cozy cabin. I came early in the morning for the breakfast bun combo (sandwich and coffee for just under $9) The breakfast bun was really good - definitely made with more fresh ingredients than McDonald's or Tim's. “I recently moved back into the area and was hoping to have brunch here every weekend. I had the Madurito breakfast which was a wonderful treat. The flavours were exotic and well balanced and I left quite satisfied. The breakfast came to $30.00 including tip. After searching online, I found this was almost double the price of any breakfast in Halifax. Wonderful food, but keep in mind you are paying for inflated food costs and for specialty ingredients. Not affordable on my budget, unfortunately.“

It was very small for the $ and had this strange incredibly hot seasoning exteriolly instead if the traditional crunchy coating. It was actually inedible. They truly love their jobs and it shows through the little jokes and cute little offerings that they're constantly making efforts with one of the baristas. Kevin is absolutely the best in the business, kind and sweet and always good at what he's doing. The drinks are always made better than anywhere else perfect on the orders, no matter how complicated, always able to take detailed instructions very well with a giant smile. “I had some time to spare before my afternoon appointment and I asked Google maps for a good coffee shop close by. It took me to Balancing Rock Coffee House and it was just what I needed. A perfect Latte with a delicious cheese and savory scone, and a wonderful barista who served me at my table. I will be back!“
