I visited the pub yesterday with my sister, we were looking for a steak. The place was packed with locals who glared shamelessly the whole uncomfortable time. We sat at the bar. The bartender completely ignored us. Finally she had no choice but to serve us. There was a two person table but it had not been cleaned off. Finally I just got up cleaned off the table, went back and asked for a rag and she gave me one! Can you believe that customer service? Lol! I wiped the table, had to use the news letter as placemats, the food took about 30 minutes. By the way, they didn't have half the menu items, so no steak, no clams, etc. My potato skins were a mess, sister's burger was undercooked, and the service was to say the least ignorant. I was so disappointed. Been there years ago and it has drastically gone downhill. It is simply a clubhouse for the community and outsiders are unwelcome. I wouldn't give this even one . The food and service were an embarrassment to the owner. To the owner, that bartender has been there way to long to act like that. You should be ashamed! I may grab some more outsiders and go back just to piss them off! Lol! PS, Bottled beer was cold, half a for having running fridges!

We came here on a whim. The place looked like a typical bar you'd find on a long drive however it had a Nintendo section which was honestly cool. It was filled with locals who were generally very happy and talkative with the bartender and staff. I actually found this very enjoyable as if gave the place a very friendly and family like vibe. The music was nice and not overbearing loud. We definitely felt like we were a little out of place but we weren't treated terribly, we were greeted with kindness. She recommended good beverages and everything was brought at a timely manner. The food is greasy but good. The fries could have used more seasoning, when I brought it to the waitresses attention she let me know they do have a seasoning but they only put it on via request as some people dont like it. (I highly recomend asking for it.) but beyond that it was filling, it was tasty. I would definitely ask for more napkins in advance!I'd love to come back when they have a live band, it seems like it would be a fun place to be.

While a little hesitant when I first walked in with my teenage children as it seemed more like a bar than an eatery, we decided to stay and give it a try.Tons of character, very relaxed feeling. Reminded me of home in Cape Breton. And the food was delicious!!

Stopped their today for a quick bite at 1:15. The smell kind of put me off but I said No, lets give them a try. Keep it local. There were 2 other tables already seated when we ordered. After 25 minutes, I noticed 1 of the tables being served?? Uh Oh. 15 minutes after that, the other table was served. We waited another 10 minutes, still no food (we ordered 2 burgers and pan fried haddock). By that time, the smell and the noisy environment had done me in. We walked out, still hungry. Perhaps the smell was coming from the booth we were in, not sure but something needs to be done about it. The staff seemed to be doing their best but the cook needs to learn to use both hands.

Well,it's Sunday morning, 1145 & no one here. The web site says, opens at 11, the sign says, opens at 12, & the web site says, new winter hours 10 - 7. Someone needs to update this site. This is twice now, we have been here Sunday brunch & there hasn't been anyone here. What gives.

It's not a big place but it's got character. The staff are friendly and helpful. Support local business!Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp up to the front door. If you're by yourself you may have difficulty opening the 2 doors to get into the pub. I'm also sure that if anyone saw you struggling they would come and help you.
