Fantastic Dinner in Beatty. Don't let the hole in the wall exterior diissuade you. Great food and service. It's just a very small dinner for a very little town in Nye County.
perfect place for breakfast before heading to hike all day at death valley. mel's opens at 6AM so we were able to watch the sunrise and eat. perfect for grabbing breakfast and arriving to the park around 8AM. CASH ONLY . sack sandwich lunches are also available to order, easy lunch to bring on our death valley hike !!!

Cute diner, excellent service, simple and well-made food. 12/10 small-town dining experience! Strong coffee, crispy bacon, and eggs you don't have to cover in ketchup. Cash only, but there's a Wells Fargo with an ATM at the corner, you can be there and back before your coffee cools if you forget to go before.
