Saw a banner advertising the best fish and chips, being a s***** for fried food I decided to try. For the price, the portion borders on the small side, three small pieces. The outer coating was delicious; however, the fish inside did not adhere to the batter and so you were left eating a nicely fried but doughy shell without the fish. The fries were tasty, but portion size again was small compared to price. The one thing that really irks me is that if you use a credit card to pay, the merchant will charge you a convenience fee. When I questioned the fee I was told it was imposed by my credit card company for the privilege of paying with a credit card and sometimes you get charged and other times not. This is a lie, I called my company and they told me it is actually the merchant that is off-setting the fee they pay to accept a credit card. Now if you tell your customers at the time of payment or post a sign that say you will be charged a convenience fee for using a credit card, I don't have a problem but to be deceptive and not be truthful about who is charging the fee is just wrong. So long Joes, sub-par food and lies do not a repeat customer make.

Everything is homemade and tasted like it ? we've been there twice for lunch, had the Icelandic cod fish and chips, the fish is hand cut not frozen. Next time my husband had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, I had a hamburger that was a special, it had to be the biggest one I've ever seen. It had a hand made patty, bacon, a huge onion ring, plus more cooked onions, lettuce, pickles, cheese and BBQ sauce. Had to ask for a knife to cut it.

1st visit, it was great! Best Hamburger and my husband loved the Philly Cheesesteak. Friendly and great atmosphere. Loved the smaller menu. What they offer, they do very well

I miss Virginia City Joes. Whoever let them leave VC was really crazy. Never the less I was told there was a Carson City Joe's so I looked it up and sure enough there it was. Same great food same great service. This is a must stop and eat place. I recommend the Ortega cheeseburger. They have great food very clean place can't wait to visit again. Open for lunch and dinner. The only thing I could recommend to them is to make the front in the parking lot a little more lit up and maybe put a sign up on the roof. When we first pulled up we thought they were closed and got out just to make sure and they were definitely open. But again I love the food here.

New restaurant and fabulous food amazing on the inside. Door hard to find for me. It's down the stairs in the parking lot. Awesome

We tried Joe's today for lunch since we are currently evacuated because of the Caldor Fire. We were pleasantly surprised. Loved the cowboy ambience and country music playing in the background. Not many diners there at 1pm on Labor Day, but that didn't deter us. We had the fish and chips and the huge jalapeño Ortega cheeseburger. Everything was delicious. The highlight of our visit was our server, Allison, who was only into her second week working there. She made us feel like family and treated the other customers with equal respect and a cheerful attitude. I only dropped one star because of the cranky old woman, I think she's the owner, who couldn't even be bothered with responding to our greeting and seemed bothered by our presence. Maybe she was just having a bad day?

Decided to try this place. Other reviews were either 1 or 5 stars. This is a 5. We had the burger and fish & chips. All were awesome. The French fries are addicting. Not a large menu but the items we had were worth the slightly higher prices. Try this little hidden gem

The fish and chips are fabulous. They taste 'home made,' not out of a freezer bag. Salad, fries, coleslaw, dips are definitely old school delicious. Highly recommended. ?
