We enjoyed great service and at a value hard to find. We got a good room on short notice while house hunting in Nevada, and were especially pleased with the bed mattress and pillows, quiet location, and instant warm water in the shower. We plan to stay there again when we go back to Carson City, Nevada.

It says breakfast included, but it has no real breakfast. The facility is old, room is not well insulated, lots of noise from next door neighbor. Only good part of this hotel is the bed sheet is clean, ok to sleep on.

Decent if slightly worn hostelry. Unpleasant surprise at check-in: we booked expressly because on the reservation site the phrase 'Pets welcome!' was prominent. At check-in we were informed there would be a $25 additional charge because we had our dog with us; which we had noted in our reservation. This charge, and the way it was handled, were unpleasant and really bad business relations, A fairer system, given that yes sometimes pets do damage, would be to ask a damage deposit, refundable pending a room inspection at the end of one's stay. After all, how about weekend boozers; teenagers? We could add more but that is more than enough.

Laminate flooring so dirty it turned my white socks black, room looks like it was last refurbished in 1972. Phone was completely dead. Flooring in room above creaked so bad sleep was all but impossible.

We chose the sunset dinner cruise to celebrate our anniversary. The meal was excellent. I would recommend the second seating as there is little to see after sunset and you will be indoors on the return trip. High point of the excursion is Emerald Bay. Service on board was very good. Our server was friendly and efficient. Live band in the bar area was too loud for the size room but played a variety of covers to match most people's interests.

Room was dated and the TV you barely could see the picture that needed to be replaced. Turning on the air conditioner had a musty order. The door looks like it had been scratched by a dog trying to get out.

We decided on the sunset dinner cruise. A bus came and picked us up at out hotel at 5:40 p.m. and got us to the dock well in time for our 6:00 p.m. departure (we were the last picked up and the first dropped off - yeah!). On arrival, the person taking tickets seemed confused by the ones we had purchased at the hotel but finally told us we had second seating for dinner. We had a nice smooth cruise across the lake to Emerald Bay to see Vikingsholm and Fannette Island. Following viewing these places, we were called into dinner. We were amongst the first into the dining room and the waiter took our order first but we were served last. The chicken seemed the safest so we ordered it. And it was OK (but not great). This cruise was a very nice and relatively peaceful way to see the lake. We opted to sit outside on the first leg of the cruise as it was much quieter than inside and had better views. Having the second seating was good as it was dark for much of the time when we ate (& it got cold outside).

This is a must. We had the 2pm tour of Lake Tahoe. Bus picked us up at our hotel. Parking down by the beach is crazy and expensive. Once we boarded, the captain informed us that there are drink bars and a variety of food. The lake is crystal clear. It was so calm, which made it very relaxing. Had I realized I would’ve brought my brie, crackers, and grapes.

The MS Dixie is a nice concept. If you are prepared to be outside for fresh air make sure to wear plenty of sunscreen and have a hat. If you want shade there are indoor areas that are air-conditioned with dining tables and chairs however the windows in these areas are very hazy and cloudy. It’s a little over two hour cruise. They share information about the Lake Tahoe area over the PA system. Depending on how many are in your group it might be a better choice to rent a private boat.

The front desk person was very rude. When I questioned the 25 dollar a night dog fee (because I did not see it online ) all he did was point to the sign on the desk. Did not tell us about breakfast (which was in a brown paper bag) did not say when check out time was. He acted like he did not care that we were there. Room was adequate but dated. I would not stay there again.

what ever you do keep driving another 1/4 to Holiday Inn or the Hampton. Property was disgusting, run down, and very dirty. Even had some nice Pot leftovers on the table from the prior guests enjoying a little toke.. waste of my money- going to contact Wyndam for a refund on this crappy hotel..

Excellent , Better breakfast, need to have quality food, and more hot quality foods and drinks. Better cleaning, more towels needed. Laundry not ready, washer brokedown, and expensive: $2.00 per wash, $1.75 per dry.

We spent one night with our dog, Room was adequate and a good value. Only concern - room was dusty throughout and the furniture was dated and scuffed. Front desk staff was helpful and professional. Breakfast to-go was a bottle of water, apple, pastry and chocolate chip bar.
