It’s been since before the lockdowns that I have been here. At the time, the owner was selling and opening a new restaurant in South Lake Tahoe near my home, but that fell through, so I was surprised to find him and his son still here.He makes his own fries, which are AMAZING, as is the coleslaw, and I’m a slaw snob.My next door neighbor had the Rueben and loved it. She’ll definitely come back with her family as will I.Please support this family owned business. You won’t be disappointed!

Cute little house with great service and excellent food! Had the best French dip I've had in years and great sweet potato fries. Nice little quaint place for lunch. We enjoyed conversation with the friendly manager.

Walked in with a group of over 20 people and the man running the show was sleeping in the corner. We had immediate doubts but were quickly proved wrong. He handled our orders like a boss, was incredibly organized, didn’t confuse or mess up a single order, and the food, which tasted amazing, was out in under 20 mins after ordering. He brought all of the kids food first, and was an amazing server. I can’t recommend this place enough. All of us could only rave about the food and no one was upset with their order. And be sure to get the tots!

The only place in Genoa to get a Pancake. Jesus makes a mean breakfast, omelets are tasty and fresh and the pancakes are fluffy and delicious. Thanks!

There's only a few restaurants in Genoa and we picked this one to try out. The server "Chuy" was awesome, friendly and even told us a few places to check out in Genoa! The food was good and the portions were big. The decor is very down home with all the tables, chairs feeling more like dining at someone's home than a restaurant. We were very happy with the service and the quality of the food!

Best burgers we have ever had. So juicy, flavorful and a perfect soft bun! Yum! The owner was so attentive and kind.

We were visiting Genoa for the first time- super cute town! We stopped in for lunch with our family and enjoyed the service, the historic decorations and informative pamphlets, and especially the food. I ordered the BBQ burger and it was the freshest tasting burger- no frozen patty here!! The sauce was delish and it was cooked perfectly! Price was higher than the photo menus on Yelp but the lunch was well worth the slight increase. Other members of our family enjoyed the special of the day- Philly cheesesteaks, the pastrami melt, and the chicken sandwich. I'm going to return for sure whenever I am back in Genoa!

Stopped for lunch and happy we did. I had a great blue cheese burger, cooked perfectly, accompanied by a side salad. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Thank you Chewy for the excellent customer service and food! Thanks for telling us about the history of Genoa and it’s role in our history.

Eaten her twice and both meals were excellent. Great decor inside. Very good service. I had one of the hamburgers and it tasted awesome. They raise their own beef and it you could tell. This restaurant is a hidden gem.

Stopped in for lunch on a cloudy, cool Friday. Glad we did, as we were the only ones in the restaurant and the owner shared that business had been slow due to the unseasonably weather. We sat at the bar and chatted with the super friendly owner. The Cobb salad was delightful and a large portion. I had the special - fish and chips with homemade beer batter. It was some of the best fish-and-chips I've had - light a moist. Great cole slaw. Good draft beers. Fast, friendly service. We'll return next time we are in the area.
