Wow!This experience was bad! I wanted the "Old Vegas" experience. They advertised not that long ago good deals on steak dinners. I got prime rib at $24.95 so bad l sent it back. It had a bad smell and looked bad/old. When I first sat down I ordered a topshelf Long Island Iced Tea which the most I've ever paid for that drink anywhere in Las Vegas is $15. My husband ordered a beer. The waitress comes back and tells us $24 and change. When l asked how much my drink was l was told $19!!! Holy Smokes! This is a very old casino hotel off Boulder Highway. Still looks old school inside which was nice but definite modern greed prices. Place was mostly empty on a Saturday night. I DO NOT recommend this place!

This is a usual favored place to go eat, and the food is normally good as is the service. Unfortunately, last week, I ordered fish and when I got it, it was cold on the inside. Yuk. I never return food, so I just didn't eat. Also this time service was not up to its great standards. I felt ignored by the waitress. Must have been an off day!

Service was TERRIBLE!!! Employees in the casino ignore you when you are trying to get their attention. They ignore you and go talk to each other. They don't do their job. Complete waste of time to go there. The video poker machines literally eat your money with very little to NO play at all.

This is not a gourmet restaurant, but a Cafe. However, they charge double digits in pricing for their food. 21.00 for steak sandwich and not that great.Forget the desert menu prices, or better yet bypass the desert because you might get two bites or maybe three. There are other places to enjoy that have reasonable prices.

Hard to match the convenience and value. No need to rush around town on getaway day. Where else can you get a full breakfast for six bucks and still have a few minutes to hit the machines again?

Excellent service at the cafe, the bar and in the casino; pleasant and helpful staff all around. One of the few places which serves brew coffee that is actually palatable. Great value for both dining and gaming. Buen apetito!

I have been visiting this establishment for 9 years. I go there early morning for breakfast and I play a little Keno. This morning I went and sat at the bar but no one was around. I played $10 in .25 max bet video poker ($1.25) and then played Keno for .25. The bartender shows up and I ask her about the shrimp cocktail and she said they are $5 for two which is no problem. I said okay and I will just take a water. She then informed me that she was charging me $1 for the water. I said that is ridicules and I said no one has ever charged me for water when I'm playing a machine. She said unless you play at least $1 you have to pay for your water. Then a guy who was measuring some stuff said Mr. Marsch won't even give us employees a bottle of water. We have to pay for it. I told the bartender that's okay, I won't be back. As I was walking out right at the entrance there was a guy sitting at the machine sleeping. There poor customer service has cost them a few grand a year on their bottom line over a glass of water. There was no one at the bar and they chased out a nice person and a very good customer. Mr. March I always thought you were a jolly fellow and a great business person but if you don't even provide water free to employees well I guess there is no more to say except this is the desert.

The hotel staff is excellent. If there is ever an issue, the front desk is right on it. We had an issue with the TV and maybe 5 minutes later the maintenance guy was at our door. It may take a little bit longer if it is a busy day, but whatever the issue, it is addressed in a timely manner.

I came across this hotel after arriving in Las Vegas late at night on my way home to the East Coast from Hawaii with a Las Vegas stopover for a couple days. Las Vegas hotel rates were absurd that weekend, so I quickly searched for surrounding areas and found this place out in Henderson, about 15-20 miles east of the strip heading out toward Hoover Dam. I’ve been to Vegas enough to know about his funky little offf-strip casino hotels far out from the city, but I’ve never stayed at one. At first I was a little bit hesitant to book it. This was a unique place! This is small old-school Las Vegas Casino parlor from the pre 1960’s with small attached hotel. the hotel has charm and a boutique old west feel. I think the slot machines even paid out actual coins, as I saw the plastic cups next to the old-school machines. I didn’t play, as I was just sitting there having a cigarette and wanted to get in the room and get some sleep because it was 3 AM by the time we arrived. So the place is old! And old fashion. Has memorabilia, photos, casino antique and oddities decoding the inside lobby and halls documenting their history, . I think it even said was one of the oldest casinos in the whole Las Vegas area? I can’t really describe the vibe? I’ll have to let my pictures tell the story. It almost had a Victorian and old west feel at the same time if that makes any sense? Yeah, the place was one of a kind. We found that everything was a very clean and in good repair. Inside and outside on the property. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve had on a 25 day trip, even after staying at four and five star hotels. The bathroom and shower were modernized and probably the cleanest and nicest bathroom I’ve had a hotel in t2.5-3 star level rating. It did smell slightly like decades of smoke inside, even in the room corridors, although the smoking area and small casino was down the hallway from the hotel part. And they were pretty strict about no smoking in the hotel! I believe they’re even installed one of those laser smoke detection systems in the room as I noticed something on the wall and there was a note on the front desk warning people that rooms were monitored for smoking. Years ago I got caught smoking in a California casino by one of these laser smoking detection systems, so smokers, don’t The kind lady at the front desk who was working the graveyard shift upgraded us to an Executive Single King room. She was great on 4/21 at 3am, although she was stressed because they were understaffed and she was on her own and embarrassed that we had been waiting while locked outside trying to call and there no one to let us in when we arrived!! I assured her it was no problem. I wish I could remember her name. But shout out to her! She was so welcoming I’ve worked in the hospitality for 20 years and she’s an asset to this property. We actually were chatting during check-in about how people completely suck these days when you work in customer service! I’d have no problem staying at this place for a week, even though it wasn’t particularly fancy by any means, yet it was by no means shabby or a generic 40 year hotel, old and worn out. It was a very clean, comfortable, welcoming and unique hotel experience overall. I don’t usually stay at economy hotels, but this one was great! Highly recommend for a short comfortable stay. Sure as hell beats dated and grungy generic economy chain hotels!

Wonderful staff! Great breakfast! What more can i for? Maybe a local tour guide but the environment here is great and food was brought out on time. If you’re a first timer in vegas than this is the spot to come and try before exploring the rest of las vegas. I had the french toast with eggs and bacon and the drinks were so good!!!

Super hotel! Clean, friendly staff, great dedicated shower, good bed, good tv, biggest, most beautiful hallways you've ever seen, and great price compared with the big chains. A lot of historical memorabilia in lobby. You'll like this place...the most pleasant surprise of the 2 week road trip.
