This place has gone downhill. The last time I was here was 2019, and it was delicious. We dined in at 6 pm on a week day, and it looked closed because no one was there eating. Only one server running the place, and she didn't seem to want to be there either. Food was just ok, I've had $2 microwave dinners that tasted better. I used to love the pies here, but they, too, were not impressive anymore. Frozen grocery store pie tastes better. Will not return again.
I've been a Marie Calendars customer for over 30 years. I went there at 7:10pm and was told we couldn't eat there because they closed at 8pm. I was shocked. Now, today I ordered food to go and was told they have changed their policies and menu items. Took away some awesome dishes. But now you do not get the cornbread (which was their signature item) as a regular thing like before (unless you order the comfort expensive plate) is just wrong. I ordered a pie for pick up and the lady at the counter was very rude and not pleasant. I have never ordered a pie for pickup before, only eaten there, and my pie was cold. I thought it would be warm which is fine but there was no heating up instructions. I wasn't sure if I should place in oven or microwave to heat up.
