The location by the lake was excellent. We went there for a romantic dinner, and the restaurant has 2 rooms- a big beautiful dining room and dining tables next to the bar. We got seated in the bar area, even though the restaurant was only about 10% occupied- which meant during our dinner we constantly had people's butts next to us at the table. My review would be 5-star - food was great, service was great.

Beautifully decorated restaurant/steak house! It feels like you are inside a very fancy lodge or cabin which is the vibe we were looking for as we wanted a fancy night to end our ski trip to Lake Tahoe. The service was great! The sommelier stopped by to pour our wine and didn't try to upsell us to a more expensive bottle which we appreciated it. Instead she walked us through the bottle we ordered. I really dislike pushy sells people so I really enjoyed that. The food was expensive which we knew going in but it was delicious! The martini was well made and my steak was amazingly perfectly cooked with tons of flavors. Not pictured is the asparagus, au gratin potatoes which were outstanding. The deserts were delicious but the baked Tahoe was beautifully presented! Great "treat your self" restaurant!

Went here for dinner early in January. The restaurant was recommended to me by a friend since it is so close to the Hyatt Regency you can make a day of a little gambling and have dinner at the Lone Eagle. I had the tomahawk ribeye and it was one of the best prepared, juiciest steaks I've ever tasted. My wife had an exceptional cocktail, and we can't recommend the bar enough. The ambiance is very interesting, rustic but refined and the restaurant is quite pricey so make sure you know that going in. It's definitely worth it if you want something exceptional and special. Server did a great job and was very attentive.

The food itself was delicious. We also had a beautiful window view. Our only complaint was that the service was inattentive. Our waiter came by our table about three total times throughout the dinner. We had to wait over 15 minutes to order before he came back after asking us if we were ready and we asked for more time.

Always measures up to expectations. Lone Eagle Grille is a waterfront restaurant that radiates an elevated log cabin feel. My party of three and I indulged in three courses (and a little bit of wine to wash it down). We started with the Mushroom Soup, followed by the Little Gem Caesar, next, the main dish of duck and sea bass, accompanied by the potato purée side (not pictured). We were served first with a warm assortment of bread (rosemary, sourdough, and molasses rolls) with a decadent butter. The bread was warm and fluffy, an excellent start to the meal. I miss the days where all restaurants served complimentary bread with the meal. I was pleased next to be met with a sommelier who poured the light but bold Goldeneye pinot. Mushroom Soup [4/5]- Although the soup had a delicate balance between the acid of the pickled mushrooms, the cream from the crème fraiche, and the spice, it fell short on earthiness and I was not too impressed by the soup. Little Gem Caesar [5/5]: The dressing perfectly coated the lettuce without overwhelming the freshness of the lettuce. The parmesan and prosciutto added a perfect amount of savory crunch. Duck [5/5]: Succulent and well paired with the pinot, the crunch and earthiness of the quinoa added extra texture and flavor depth to the overall dish. Additionally, the parsnip purée was creamy and delicious with the duck. Seabass [5/5] Buttery and perfectly cooked, this dish was a star. The outside was slightly crispy and the inside of the fish melts in your mouth. The sauce was perfectly balanced without overwhelming the dish. Potato Purée [5/5] Mashed potatoes are always a guilty pleasure and this dish was no exception. The potatoes paired perfectly with the duck and seabass. It was adorned with cream and green onions and was addicting. The flavor was delicate, allowing it to stand on its own, or as an accompaniment to the main dishes. I am sad to hear rumors that Lone Eagle Grille will soon be replaced by Nobu. I always enjoy this fine dining experience when I am in the Nevada area. I do find it to be a little absurd that they charge $30 for a window seat, but I did not purchase this because it was night time. It may be worth the while if you have a special occasion. At the end of the meal I was philled (filled). I would recommend Lone Eagle Grille to anyone looking for a fine dining experience in the Nevada Area.

Just finished Sunday brunch at Lone Eagle Grille before we drive back to SF - great recommendation from my friend. Amazing ambience with mesmerizing lake view. It's a place where you want to hangout when the sun is out as you can't take your eyes away from the lake view with snowy mountains as the backdrop. It's picture perfect settings! Now let's talk about food and service as it's a restaurant after all. All the staff are friendly and courteous. 5/5 for service. It's a fixed menu for Sunday brunch. $70 per person. I got the fried chicken waffle. Hubby and most of my friends got the steak with king crab legs. One of my friends got the egg benedict. Everyone enjoy their food. I boxed most of my chicken waffle home as I am already 70% full after the pastries, fruit, and cheese starters. After brunch, we walked around the beach behind the restaurant and took a bunch of epic photos. Two thumbs up and we will be back for sure when we are in the neighborhood.

Excellent dinner, ambience, and service! It's a little pricey for what it is, but not surprising considering it's part of a hotel. Everyone suggested getting. The bison, but we did not (and glad we didn't to be honest). The best dish hands down was the sea bass! We dipped everything in that lemon sauce. I would come back just for this dish alone. The filet was perfectly cooked, and the salmon was a little over- but that's how I like it anyways. We also got a side of scallops for the filet and it was perfectly seared. Even though the restaurant was busy, they did not miss a beat!

Two of us ordered the French onion soup and the baked Brie thinking it would be a great combo for a full meal. The Brie had great flavor but half of the bread served with it was as hard as a rock and stale. The French onion soup had a burnt, musky taste to it. Very difficult to describe the flavor but two bites was too much for my palate to handle. The other person at the table had the same reaction to the soup. In addition, the cheese melted on top became a ball of gum when I was chewing it and I had to remove it from my mouth discretely before choking on it. My husband informed the waiter and he was quite rude about it. My husband loved the salmon and asparagus. Our waiter was not very attentive. We had 5 adults and one child at the table and he added a 20% gratuity for a large group. We normally give more to a good waiter/waitress but that was too much for him. The food is very expensive for what you get.

Review for Dinner! This is supposed to be a nice place to eat. It is not cheap with single menu items costing $80. With that said we were prepared to spend a little money. The service was not great. But I will get into that a little more later. First let's start with the food. The only good item ordered from our entire table was my salmon and asparagus. It was actually very good and worth the money. My brother ordered the shrimp pasta. It was cold and in a bad red sauce. I love shrimp but when I tasted it I could not even finish the piece I took. My wife ordered the baked brie and french on soup. The brie was actually good but they served it with stale bread! WTF!! What was even worse was the french onion soup. It had rubbery cheese on top and the soup tasted burnt. There were 5 of us and a small child. The kids chicken fingers were extremely dry and the child with us could not eat it. The waiter was nice but never checked on us. When I finally got his attention I told him the salmon was excellent but the french onion soup was not good. Instead of apologizing he said that he has been serving it all night and no-one has complained?? I explained that he has two people who ordered it here and both of them are complaining. To those who are not nice when you complain I try and be very respectful of the staff. I stayed respectful even though he frustrated me with his response. After we were done it took us close to 20-30 minutes to get our bill. When we did the waiter put his tip on there already saying we had a large party? 5 plus a child. Be very wary of this place for dinner. It was not even close to worth the price we had to pay. No alcohol, 3 entrees, 3 appetizers, and a diet soda. $300. I dont care if you can see the lake from here (not at night). I would avoid coming back any time soon.

Absolutely first class dining all the way. We arrived early and watched the sunset in the large bar area. It's got a nice fireplace and lots of comfortable seating. You can walk outside and enjoy the beach or deck area. We were seated right on time, next to another fireplace which was perfect on a chilly evening. If you're vegetarian, be sure and ask for a menu, there are more items available than on the main menu. I had a delicious pappardelle with broccolini. It was a generous portion and I believe the pasta is home made. The wine was served to us by the sommelier, who gave us some tips for an upcoming wine tasting trip. As other reviewers have mentioned it is pricey, but in my opinion, well worth it.
