Genuinely the best Mexican food in town hands down. I’m from San Diego so I’m picky with my Mexican food but tonight I got the shrimp Aztec fries and it was PERFECT. I typically go to taco man for Mexican food but this spot is miles better in my opinion.

I'm saddened about my perception of this restaurant because the quality has steadily (but very noticably) gone down over the past few months. We ordered two orders of fries for delivery and my exact words were "they taste like day-old fries reheated" because they were so dry and stale tasting. It's unfortunate because we really really loved their food the first few times we got it and I'm not one to leave reviews, so that should say something. I'm not rating this restaurant worse (even though this meal is more like a 1.5 stars) because there is still potential for them to do better. The first time I got their fries they were so delicious, fresh, and crispy despite the toppings and this time it's a completely different (bad) experience,,, so much so that I stopped eating to write this review lol.

Aztec fries are mid. Don't know what all the hype is about. I'd put Robertos asada fries over their aztec fries with a $5 asada surcharge any day of the week. Definitely expected more for a $20+ plate.
