The Hot Dogs and Pizza are a great price. Lines are long, but it goes quick. Definitely have to give it a try. Saturday is the best time to go because they give out free samples around the store. Cannot beat the $5 whole roasted chicken. Use the self check out lanes, they go fast even though the parking lot is crowded. Asent 100% Whey Protein (chocolate) 4 lbs -$54. Excellent price. Wish they had vanilla though. Whole foods price 2-lbs $47 as a comparable.
Great shopping experience except for the optical department. I’ve been wearing eyeglasses for the best part of 70 years. Three of the last four pair I purchased from Costco developed crazing on the lenses. When I took in the first pair a couple of years ago, Mario looked at them and told me the warranty didn’t cover them and walked away to assist another customer. If my stomach is still growling (depending on the selection and quantity of samples), I generally grab a dog and a soda after I go through checkout. Buck and a half, epic Costco bargain. Service is always polite and prompt. Only complaint is the cost-cutting (post-Covid) removal of chopped onions, spicy mustard and sauerkraut. First-World problem, for sure, and a very minor gripe considering the quality dog for $1.50, but I really enjoyed dressing my guilty pleasure properly.
