But do expect good Vietnamese food. This place hit the spot first visit and my buddy was praising the Pho so the next day we returned just for the pho. Yes on point! If you visit the restaurant Ellen will be your host/server/cleanup you get the point. Ellen is awesome nice and very friendly. Next visit need to try ox tail pho. Oh yeah, I'm coming back! Da Lat is a small family owned restaurant located in a strip mall. I came on a weekday and I was quickly seated. There were a few other patrons in the restaurant who all seem to be enjoying their meal. The service was warm and they had some of my favorite Vietnamese dishes on the menu. We ordered the special which was a big portion and filled plenty of meat. We also ordered the Vietnamese crêpe filled with shrimp and pork. Normally this dish comes with jicama and carrots in my region but this one had onions instead. It was still very good but a little bit different than I'm used to. I definitely like the variety of the menu and when I'm craving a slice of home I'll be back!

First time here, my new spot for Bun Bo Hue, broth was so tasty! Nem Nueng Cuong also amazing!!! Typical service for Viet restaurants.

Ordered the bun thit nuong cha gio togo. Such a simple dish, but each ingredient should be done well. - bun: super hard, not chewy, even when reheated. - thit nuong: wet, over seasoned, missing the charred grill marks. - veggies: missing all the herbs. - egg roll: super mushy filling inside Will not come back.

I would give this place 5 stars actually however, there are days when it’s “off” & that’s ok because this is a small family owned establishment & I KNOW it will be good the next time I come. It’s a Mood thing it seems which is true of any kitchen. Anyway, just be aware that it isn’t 5 stars EVERY single time but one of my favorite Phò spots in town. The atmosphere is meh which is why I get my Phò to go but Phò to GO is not a Vibe. You NEED it HOT & Ready to eat. Best to eat HERE when it’s not busy. It is either eerily quiet or had some goofy tv show on. Some of the shows are actually good at times.. lol I just wish they had more of an ambiance like with some music. I don’t care what kind just something.
