It's difficult to choose between the gorgeous rows of cookies, macarons, cakes, and cheesecakes... there's brownies in there somewhere too, and rugelach on a side table ready to go!The Parisian Chocolate Cake is remarkably light for so much chocolate; the filling is just the right amount of sweet. Tried a variety of cookies as well which were all great, my favorite being the Almond Cake Cookie. The only letdown was the Thumbprint Shortbread which seemed a bit bland , but that's not a huge issue.Plenty of desserts in Las Vegas are overhyped and overpriced -- this was worth the hype and the cost.

When this location on 215 and Decatur opened a few years ago, it was a relief because it's closer to home. I've gotten cakes and cookies from Freed's for potlucks and birthdays. And for Thanksgiving, I've picked up pecan pie, pumpkin pie, and apple pie for the past 3-4 years. My favorite is pecan pie - I love to eat it, and I love making it. When I don't have time or energy to make pecan pie, I can trust Freed's to make good pecan pie. I've gotten store bough pies and the pecans are barely there. Freed's uses more pecans than other stores.However, on my last visit the day before Thanksgiving, I got 2 pecan pies and an apple pie. The filing tasted off on the pecan pie. The pecans tasted a bit rancid. Maybe, it was not a good batch. Am I going to get pies here for next Thanksgiving? More than likely yes. If it's still not good, I'll just make my own.The ladies here are nice and helpful though. They also have a rewards system. So the more you buy, the more points you accumulate and you get free stuff.

I was craving something sweet, so I decided to drop in to Freed's. They offer a variety of homemade sweets. Cookies, cakes, cupcakes, ice cream sandwhiches, and rice Krispy treats. I was craving macaroons, so I got a couple to try. I was very disappointed in them. They are expensive and taste nothing like the flavors they say. They also lack the macaroon texture. I was super glad I only got 2. The black out cake also looked amazing, so I got a slice of it. The frosting and fudge they use is incredible! Not overly sweet. The cake was on the dry side, though. It was like it had sat out for a few days. It kind of killed it for me. The strawberry filled cake was good and still moist for the most part. Again, it's not an overly sweet cake. For a bakery, the freshness didn't seem to be there. The girl behind the counter was nice and helpful. The store is clean.A very small grab and go bakery. I would try the blackout cake again. The frosting was really crave worthy. I just hope the cake is more fresh next time.

I love everything about this bakery. The cakes are beautiful and delicious. I've been getting cakes here for decades and never been disappointed. They are more expensive than the supermarket cakes but this is a quality over quantity situation. You shouldn't eat that much cake, but I when you do, make sure it's a fantastic one! A friend of mine said she could make a cake that looked as pretty as the freeds cakes and like 9 cakes later, never came close. Plus they will make anything you dream up if you order ahead

I went in today to order my cousin the at attention cake! ???? It's going to be her 60th birthday next week! Unfortunately I couldn't order at this location. But, the young lady was very nice and helpful. She gave me the card with the information on it and the direct phone number. I thanked her and bought a watermelon joy pop. And as she was ringing me up , she asked for my phone number to see if I had any rewards! Well, I do! 1 free cupcakes and I got red velvet ! Thanks Ally for being so kind! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love this bake shop . I like how you can try different slices of cakes and prices are good . They have some promos at times .love their cakes , not too sugary . I’ve had their tiramisu, wedding cakes , chocolate, red velvet , cupCakes and cookies . Even my friends love this store .
