“If you’ve ever been to Germany or lived in Germany and have had the doner kebab at any of the many Turkish food trucks, stalls, restaurants, you know exactly what I’m talking about when I say that this is the kind of food that you keep craving and dreaming about long after you leave Germany.Well, this is about as close as you can get. The lamb & beef wrap takes me right back to those lunches and late-night snacks I enjoyed in Frankfurt/Schweinfurt/Munich/Heidelberg. It is a taste that has eluded me for 24 years living in the San Francisco Bay Area, but now I’ve finally found it, of all places, Fremont St in Downtown Las Vegas. At $10 a wrap, it’s great value for your money. My only gripe with DKELV is the lack of convenient free parking. You either have to park a few blocks away and walk or pay a couple of bucks for the few street parking spots. Then you’ll have to contend with the usual menagerie of the drunk/drugged/panhandling/unhoused/mentally-ill denizens of Fremont St on the way to the food hall. I wish they’d open up a new location off-Downtown.“
“April 6, 2024. I’m not sure what the food is like in Germany but I’ll bet it’s quite similar to what we received here in Vegas. The atmosphere is unique, as is the entertainment. Come for just those! Hubby and I shared a plate of kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes) and the Wurstplatte (sausage plate). Hubby spent time in Germany and vouches for the authenticity. The server was pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be back.“
“Friendly people as soon as I walked in, Eric the president is awesome and will tell you anything you need to know about the club. Chris the VP is funny and will serve you anything you want at the bar. Be sure to tip him! Everyone was welcoming. They have a small calendar near their front door. Open house is on Wednesdays at 430pm to 630pm. They have a stage inside, a bookshelf, a kids corner. They host game nights, play music and have live music. They are a great group of people and I HIGHLY encourage you to walk in if you cars outside and their door open. Or also ring the doorbell if needed.“
“Berlin never disappoints! I love all of the different nights they have. The bartenders are always super involved with the themes and help create a fun environment regardless of the event. They have great food and the vending machine full of random trinkets is always a highlight! Shout out to my favorite bartender Natasha! I love her energy and attentiveness! Thanks for all the great times!“
