Ate here on Saturday 4/7/24 and I can't understand why reviews are coming in for 1 and 2 stars. I think they're getting review bombed by a bunch of Karen's because nothing they said matches up with my experience. The place is brightly lit, friendly atmosphere and friendly staff. We were greeted and our orders taken. We sat and talked until our food was ready which took maybe 10 minutes. The music is a little loud and my friend speaks very quietly so I had to lean in a lot but that's easily fixed. Our food was OUTSTANDING. I got the Hello Hibachi special which is a mountain of food and best of all delicious and fits the price point well. We walked away happy with our food as it was fresh, hot, and delicious. As well as a generous portion. I really can't wait to go back, I loved everything and I hope everyone will give them a chance because they deserve your business.

While the food is great and employees are lovely, I couldn’t help but overhear the owner being overly boastful and Braggadocious. Pride is important, but I’d be uncomfortable working there and being reminded in facetious jokes every couple of seconds of how “I’m the owner”

Awful food. Awful service. I won’t be back. I picked up three meals for myself and my family. I called it in 20 minutes before arriving and still had to wait another 20 minutes. I brought the food home and my family couldn’t even eat it. They over seasoned the food. I’m not really that picky, so I begrudgingly ate it but it definitely was not good. We called to tell them about the experience and the girl that answered the phone mouthed off and refused to give her name. This place is ran by teenagers that don’t know customer service or how to make food. You can’t charge sit down restaurant prices and give out fast food quality meals and service. I notice that there are a lot of reviews that share this sentiment.

I just ordered 3 meals to go and after waiting 45m, we brought the food home to eat it. The food was horrendous. Not even slightly bad, like I couldn’t even take more than a bite of it bad. It was drenched in pepper. My kids couldn’t eat it, either.I called to complain on 3/24 at 6:45PM as we spent quite a bit of money on this meal and I spoke with two girls. The first girl apologized and transferred me to another girl. The second girl told me her manager wasn’t in but “the food looks ok in the back to me.” …. She the said “if you’re unsatisfied you can complain through the Uber app” … WHAT?! I didn’t order through Uber. I asked her to relay the message to her manager that the food was absolutely awful. My throat is still burning from the excessive amount of pepper used to season the rice. She rudely said “okay” and when I asked her for her name she refused to give it to me. Because she was not comfortable giving out her information. … what in the actual F kind of establishment are you guys running and who in the actual F are you guys hiring?Worst service ever. Used to be best food ever but now that is terrible as well. Do not recommend.UPDATE: the owner of this restaurant replied and said my rice is how traditional hibachi rice is made. No. I’ve eaten at your restaurant numerous times before. We have spent thousands at your restaurant in fact. The meal we had tonight — like I said before — was doused in pepper. It was unbearable and physically painful to eat.

Beautifully designed fast casual restaurant. We've ordered here at least a dozen times, and always consistently excellent and delicious. Generous portions for the price. Top fresh ingredients. Food you'd expect from a higher tier establishment. 5 star customer service - the gals at the front end owned a recent order mistake and made it right, which isn't common these days. Truly appreciated. This is a top 3 meal for us in the Summerlin area.

Was not greeted upon entry or at any point during our visit. The plants inside are dried out and dying due to not being watered/cared for. The lighting is horrible like a grade school cafeteria. We went in to order food and was ignored for about seven minutes while we waited at the ordering counter. We alerted the associate that we were waiting and ready; however, the associate was clearly uninterested in assisting us or taking our order. They had an alcohol menu out, but we were told they were not serving any. The associate just walked away while we went to grab beverages from a dingy refrigeration unit. We placed an order for a lobster roll and a rainbow bowl. We were planning to pay cash, but this establishment does not accept cash for payment, but will accept cash tips. Several minutes after they took our payment, were told they were out of lobster rolls and was only offered a second bowl (which cost eight dollars less) with no offer to refund the difference. We were over the entire experience and asked for a refund. As we were explaining our disappointment we were scolded by the cook for not calling to be served when we walked in. Really made our money feel unwelcomed.

The food is usually pretty good and it's like a mile from my house but it's never correct. I'm kinda sad to say I won't be back. Called in food order today and when I went to pick up they had only made half the order..... No biggie just make another.... Well they made the second one the land and sea instead of hello land so it wreaks of shrimp, everything tastes and smells so fishy and I absolutely hate it. I literally only go here for the chicken katsu which I didn't even get. That was supposed to be my birthday dinner ???

The Hibachi with lobster and steak was amazing. Grilled rice was great. Chicken and waffles were also amazing. Steak frites had a sauce that I won't even forget. I will be back.

Absolutely amazing good! I had the hibachi side. Combination plate (Land). Came w/grilled chicken, filet mignon & chicken katsu + veggies + your choice of fried rice OR noodles. I had the noodles whilst my hubby had the rice--tried both & chefs kiss! All the proteins were tenderly juicy & flavorful. The service was sweet & offered the most popular recommendations. Being a visitor--this was definitely helpful! The ambiance was clean, island mellow & artsy decorated w/plants (I'm a plant lover so I thought it was cute). Loved everything!

Hands down best place.

I ordered the short ribs with filet mignon. They run out of short ribs very quickly, so you have to order it once they have it in stock. Very good Hawaiian barbecue. In town.

Hello Hibachi Island Grill, with its build-your-own hibachi plate concept, offers a personalized dining experience that, while commendable, comes with a nuanced evaluation. My selection of filet mignon and shrimp as protein, accompanied by mixed veggies and house-grilled rice, unfolded as a culinary journey that, unfortunately, did not fully meet the expectations set by the price point. The flexibility of creating a custom hibachi plate is undoubtedly a unique feature that caters to individual preferences. However, the total cost of $27.00 for my concoction raised eyebrows, particularly in light of the more economical pre-set menu options. This significant price difference detracted from the overall value proposition and, in my estimation, needed to align with the perceived quality of the meal.Regarding the culinary aspect, the food at Hello Hibachi Island Grill manifested as average at best. While the ingredients were fresh, the execution of flavors lacked the finesse and memorable quality expected from a hibachi dining experience. The filet mignon and shrimp, though competent, did not transcend the realm of the ordinary, leaving a desire for more complexity and depth of taste.Despite the culinary reservations and price considerations, the restaurant as a whole merits a 4-star rating. The concept of the build-your-own hibachi plate is an intriguing departure from the conventional, and the ambiance and service contribute positively to the dining atmosphere. The staff's attentiveness and the pleasant setting elevate the overall experience, even if the cost and culinary execution fall short of the highest standards. In summation, Hello Hibachi Island Grill offers a dining experience with notable strengths in its concept, ambiance, and service. However, the 3-star rating for the food and 1-star rating for the pricing are indicative of areas that warrant reconsideration. While not discouraging others from trying the establishment, my opinion leans toward the sentiment that the overall experience may not justify a memorable trip, especially when considering the perceived value in relation to the cost.
