I have been able to make it to Makers and Finders in Summerlin, Henderson, as well as Downtown Las Vegas. They never disappoint. I like to go for breakfast, meet a friend for coffee, or even enjoy lunch! I have been to the downtown location while they had live music in the evening and had a wonderful time on the patio! Some of my favorites on the menu are the Cortado coffee, avocado toast, and chilaquiles! The staff has always been friendly, hospitable and efficient.

Out of the hundreds of places that I’ve tried, this was the only one where I was denied a place where to sit and eat, despite having been on the waiting list, and despite the clear availability of 4 or 5 unreserved tables. Food is average, coffee is not good. Anyone saying that the food at this place is amazing , must be comparing it to some really bad food.

We came into the restaurant 04/02/24 at 10:30 AM. The manager on duty at this time should be fired.First off the host that was seating us and also our server? Was very nice and helpful the entire time.We were a party of 4 adults and two children under the age of 2 in fact one of the children doesn’t eat food she still drinks from a bottle!I will say this is NOT a family friendly restaurant if you have an infant with you they will still charge you as if they’re eating so they can get a bigger tipThe manager told the host to sit us at a 4 top (a small square table) and the host told him that we would need a bigger table and in front of us told her no they will be fine thereThe host makes a bigger table for us that we all can sit comfortablyThen we get our bill and they charge us for a party of 6 for the tip. Yes technically we were a party of 6 but if we are a party of six like you’re charging us why are you trying to seat us at a four top? Then we were forgotten about we received our bill and the server never came back to take our card we had to sit at the front and wait for someone to take our payment. We told multiple people we still needed to pay.THEN the manager comes and we were paying half cash half card the manager says we don’t take cash? What restaurant doesn’t take cash?!The manager was being so rude from the beginning and very unhelpfulIf you have that attitude go get a new job no one eating there wants your attitude!Instead he was just flirting with all the super young girls working at the restaurant which actually looked disgusting

Classic Critique

Walked in at 4:30, starving and light headed and dizzy. Happy menu read from 3-5pm. But since there were closing at 5pm they refused to service me and my 13yr old son. After not acknowledging or speaking to us, about 10mins looking over the menu that I had to ask to see! Servers still looking at me stupid and refusing to greet us. I began waving for attention, I was only told “we close at 5”, by that time the was 4:40pm. I was aggregately in more ways than one forced to walk out!! Worse Experience!! The entire staff should be FIRED!!!!

Australian here, take note. Coffee is actually good and not your typical American coffee. The bulletproof is particularly good. Really recommend it, not much good coffee here but this place passed the test.

Was visiting from out of town and my friend who is a local recommended this place. I'm glad she did. I had the steak and eggs and it was amazing!

NYU doctor Kanokporn Tangsuan died at a Disney Springs restaurant after confirming that her food could be made dairy and nut-free in October 2023. The coroner's report found that she had traces of both dairy and nuts in her system.People rely on menus and staff to know what they're talking about. My husband took me here for lunch because they have a marked gluten-free menu and I have Celiac disease - meaning that I have to eat gluten-free. If I eat even a crumb of gluten, my body produces antibodies that attack my intestines that can lead to cancer. This is an autoimmune disease, not an allergy, so my symptoms won't include shortness of breath, even though I am actively being harmed.I spoke to 2 staff members about my Celiac disease and learnt most of the items marked gluten-free are not actually gluten-free. I asked the staff to please remove the gluten-free labels from these items as people ordering online or for others are putting their trust in the truth of their gluten-free claims. They could kill someone.Everything from the arepas, to the potatoes, to the tortilla chips to the maduros goes into a fryer that is used to cook gluten-contaning foods. One waitress told me that if it says it's gluten-free on the menu, then it's gluten-free. She seemed surprised when I told her it's not if it's cooked in a shared fryer. The staff needs trained on the concept of cross contamination before an unsuspecting customer dies.If I have a shellfish allergy, would a restaurant use the same water used to boil lobster to cook my marked, shellfish-free meal?If I had a peanut allergy, would a restaurant fry my food in the same oil that they just cooked a peanut-crusted fish in, while marking my food "peanut-free" on the menu?If I had alpha-gal syndrome, would they use the same oil that they fried beef in to cook my vegetables in and then mark my meal "vegan?"All 3 answers should be no, because you could end up killing someone. If I cook wheat flour coated items in oil, it contaminates the oil, and thus any gluten-free food now contains gluten once cooked in that contaminated fryer. With Celiac disease and life-threatening wheat allergies, businesses slap the gluten-free label on foods that aren't prepared gluten-free and most contain wheat. You are going to kill someone.I ended up having a modified steak salad, which was very good, to use up a certificate my husband had. That said, there's only like 4 items that are actually gluten-free as marked, which is DANGEROUS.My gluten-free FB group members told me they've contacted the owners back in 2022 and got no response even when told they got sick.If someone with a life threatening wheat allergy dies, bookmark my review because the owners have been notified by more than one person that their signage is wrong. You don't have to offer gluten-free options but you do have to be truthful in advertising if you're going to jeopardize people's lives.March 2024Dietary restrictions: Falsely marks items cooked in a shared fryer as "gluten-free" when using a shared fryer coats items in gluten.

Waited 20 minutes for a latte, something wrong with the espresso machine. That's fine it happens. But then to give me a stone cold drink was not ok. I dropped it in the garbage can outside. Didn't see the point of going back. Manager really needs some customer service training.
