First let me preface that I don't think I'm the right crowd for this type of place so my review may be uninformed and a little biased because gyu-kaku is my first experience with Korean bbq and it's one of the best places imo. We came in a big party and all ordered AYCE. The servers did not give us instructions on how to cook meat, they did not make sure we knew what we were doing, and they did not change out the grills unless we asked them to. Maybe this is standard but at gyu - they took care of all of this for us. Second - their sides are pretty boring and nothing I really liked so it was mostly meat that I was eating and honestly - I can only eat so much meat before I want to gag. Idk, this was not a great food experience for me but the birthday girl was happy so that's all that mattered.

Tried it about 4 times now. I used to get the Menu Set B but it was really inconsistent of how well the meat were. Sometimes it was chewy, all fat, etc. Sometimes it was the best thing ever. If you go for the cheapest AYCE set its 5/5. Service is kind of slow but staff are nice. Sometimes noisy sometimes not.

Well it has been about 8pm this since I last came to Master Kim’s. We usually come for the beef belly. Unfortunately, this time the beef belly was so thick. It was tough and just downright not good. I don’t know what is changed since the last time I came with the thin slice a bee belly that was curled up compared to this flat, thick piece of m Does .

This place reminded me of being in Korea. The cuts are seasoned perfectly and the quality of the meat is top notch. The server swapped out our cook top regularly without having to be asked and met all of our requests extremely quickly. Master Kim's Korean BBQ has been the best yet in the United States!
