Nice location within Caesars Palace and bar for people watching as you consume. We had very high expectations based on the History etc. The bar where we had a drink before dinner was also good. "Taylor" our server was excellent as were the Maytag Blue Cheese stuffed olives she used in my Martini, my wife had a Jordan Chardonnay but the tab was $69. Way tooo pricey for 2 drinks. So to dinner at a nice table for us to celebrate 54 years together. Unfortunately no linen but nice table. My wife ordered a glass of Chardonnay and I had a glass of bottled water, My wife ordered the Crab Cakes and I the 14 oz. NY Strip and a side of Bacon creamed spinach plus an order of Bearnaise sauce. The crab cakes were excellent. My steak though was so tough I had trouble cutting thru the sinue and chewing was tough. Really bad cut of meat. I complained twice yo our server "Joe" then the manager and they offered to change out for another cut but by then I was was losing my appetite. The spinach was stringy and poor taste. The 1/4 cup of bearnaise was cold and they offered another but that too was cold. All I can say is this is supposed to be 5 star. The chef should be ashamed to offer what was served. My fault for not asking him to come to the table and try what he created. The Tab was $197.22. I complained to the front desk and the manager to no avail. Not sure I would go back or recommend it. The bar was good though BUT again pricey. I have 13 Million miles on airlines from eating in the best restaurants in the world and I would say this place rated close to the bottom. So sorry.

Food was great, we had a reservation and were seated right away... just took a while to get water/drinks, and after we ordered our food, we waited quite some time for the food to come out. With so many food choices in Las Vegas, I probably won't go back.

We were pleasantly surprised on how amazing this steakhouse was! Nestled in the heart of Caesar's Palace, it is easy to get to, especially if you are going to a show at the Colosseum. Our servers were incredible, and the food was absolutely superb. We had the filet mignon and the Dore sole (de-boned at the table), and both were perfect. Sides are plentiful, the dessert was massive, and all in all, we had one of our best dining experiences in a long time! I wish I remembered our servers name, but I may have had too much wine, and don't remember for sure!!

Food was good but for the money it wasn't up to the $300 price tag for 2 people in our opinion. We had seafood at Joes the night before wish we would have had our steak there.

I don't write reviews as I feel like sometimes it's bad moods of people vs the place, food & service. My overall experience was just ok. I mean I guess it was the very pricey (in my opinion) food that was just mediocre at best. I was treating my husband to a nice dinner and we both left feeling like it was just ok. The meat was tasty but not the best we've ever had. One of our side dishes didn't arrive and when it did was cold. Our waiter was attentive, talkative and nice. He made the evening nice. Would not go back ?

Steak very good. The veggie lasagna my wife had not at all good. Waiter apologized admitting it was a strange item. Won't be going back because my vegetarian wife needs something to eat.

Unfortunately, our meal was average at best. I ordered the 10oz filet and my wife ordered the scallops, they both came out quickly, to our surprise, however they both were cold. We just powered through and enjoyed our cocktails as they were nicely prepared.

Ok I can’t say this was the worst and I can’t say it was great. I have to go in the middle with this one. First I have to say the service was superb. Our waiter Ignacio made the experience one of the best we have ever had in a restaurant. Him and everyone who helped him were great. He has a great personality and showed us the utmost respect while taking care of us. He has class and very good understanding how to relate to people. I just can’t express enough what a great person he is and how well he took care of us. Now comes the food. It was not bad. But I have to be honest. It was like eating at a low budget chain. The steak was week on flavor. The baked potato, if not ordered loaded came with butter on the side and was plain. The expense of just average food was enormous. There were not many options for normal size steaks. When I order a steak it is more of the 12 to 14 oz size. A tomahawk steak is the best in my opinion. I didn’t want to order a 32 oz steak at that price and not be able to eat it or take it with me. Sure they have to go boxes but we have no refrigerator we can use or microwave in our room. We ordered a bottle of wine at 60$ the Cream Brûlée was good. We had the Oh the meatball, veg Lasagna, lobster Mac&Chaz, filet, 3 16 oz Ribeye’s only 2 ice teas. Seems no one in Vegas has sweet tea. It was over 600$. We were not surprised. I looked at the menu online and the ad’s on the tv before going, so I expected this charge. But what I didn’t expect was, for us all to be so disappointed we changed our planes about going to Gordon Ramsey’s Hell’s Kitchen. We decided to look up reviews of Hell’s Kitchen and just decided it was no longer worth it to pay for more over priced food that was average or below average. If not for Ignacio this review would have been much worse. Management should recognize he made this place better than average. And that is saying a lot considering we were there for the food. I should also add this place was not full by any means. There were about half the tables taken and half empty.

Very sad to hear that the Old Homestead will be closing at the end of May 2023. I hope this isn't true but it is what we were told by a bus boy. The reason I hope it's not true is how good the service and food is at this location. We made the time of our reservation a little late for the concert we were attending that evening. Our server, Will, was informed by us when we sat down and we literally had our dinners less than 15 minutes from ordering. We normally like to take our time and enjoy the meal here but had to rush to make the concert. The service, the food, the bill, etc. were all excellent and got us out with time to spare. If the news is true, we will miss it. If we were misinformed, we will be back for sure. Hurry in and...enjoy!!!

The dry aged ribeye tasted like a steak bought at a grocery store Had to return the first one because it was over cook, and then the waiter spilled a drink on me. I heard afterward that this place is getting ready to close in June.

I just wasn't impressed with the food quality. The baked potato was huge. But too much butter and no salt so by the end it was too mushy. Steak was cooked to MR as requested. Steak was $78 and it was an extra $5 for sauce. Cabernet choices were limited to 2. One I knew I didn't like and the other was 45 a glass. Ended up getting a Pinot Noir that I didn't care for. I just would not recommend this place at these prices. This is probably why it's closing

Food was very overpriced. The brioche starter was dry and unappealing and the seafood starter was very greasy. The steak was ok, but very fatty and grisly. Overall very disappointing and after costing USD 350 we wouldn't return.

Always great at Old Homestead. A meal enjoyed at the bar is my favorite place. Our server was on the spot, friendly, and anticipated any needs. Need I talk about the food? Absolutely great. Oysters, splitting a steak, and good wine. Thanks.

I love this place. Shrimp Cocktail is so good. Perfect really. Wedge salad is HUGE and also, perfect and the Wagyu Rib Cap was simply great. Our waiter was super cool...but we were a bit rushed between the first and second order by the servers. We asked if they could slow down and our waiter came over and apologized and said let me know when you're ready and that was all it took. We took our time, had another drink and savored it all in. My girlfriend and I are into a great restaurant every week and we love this place. We'll be back.
