OMG! This place is soooo good in every way! First of all, we couldn't make reservations for a big party online so we made multiple reservations. Earlier on the day of our reservation, we requested our parties be seated together. The hostess was so friendly and accommodating. When we arrived for dinner, we were seated at a beautiful table in the middle of the restaurant. The ambiance was so pleasant. A little dim, very spacious, and not noisy. Furthermore, the food! The food! Everything we ordered was perfect! All that ordered the cioppino were very impressed with the variety of seafood in their dish, as well as the delicious flavor. You could order it mild or spicy. There was even a piece of king crab which was a pleasant surprise. I had the lamb. OMG! So tender and flavorful! Because the outside was lightly flavored and not overflowing with salt/heavy seasoning, you could really enjoy the flavor of the lamb. The scallop dish was also very much enjoyed. The service we received from our waitress and waitstaff was superb! They treated us like we were the only ones in the restaurant! So classy! Will definitely return! Oh, and for HI residents, you can use your food coupons here. It's only a couple of bucks off but if you're not going to use them anyway, it will be accepted here.

Right when you walk in you feel elegance and style. We started off with the escargot and it was to die for. The butter and garlic and the bread they bring to dip into it was heavenly. The sides with the entrees were definitely shareable and the steaks were perfection. Definitely glad this was the place we picked for our fancy dinner night in Vegas!!!

Redwood Steakhouse is a hidden gem located within the California Hotel and casino. The atmosphere is casual but the food is Devine. From the fresh bread to the lamb chops and steaks, this is my favorite restaurant in Las Vegas. Besides the food, the staff were friendly and a pleasure to meet.

We came here on a Friday evening - our reservation was for 8pm and we were seated promptly. We requested for a booth and were seated accordingly. House bread was fresh. We ordered the crab cake for our appetizer and it was good. I ordered the lamb chops for my entree - it was tender and cooked as requested (medium rare). Had 4 pieces and it was not gamey. It came with a yam purée which was good. They also provided sauce and mint on the side. My boyfriend ordered the Surf & Turf - the filet mignon was tender and almost melts in your mouth. It was also cooked as ordered (medium rare). The lobster was a good portion. We were too full to order dessert. Food service was perfectly timed. Our server, Hilario, provided great service - he was knowledgeable of the menu, checked on us regularly, and had a very good demeanor. Ambiance - well-lit; Not too loud/noisy which always makes dining a better experience. Seats were comfortable and the tables are not too close to each other. Price is reasonable compared to other steakhouses. One of the best steakhouses in Las Vegas - Definitely coming back !

We had 5 pm reservations, we were seated immediately upon checking in. The restaurant itself has a really cozy vibe with comfortable seating. We've tried a couple of other times to come to this restaurant, but both times needed reservations because they were obviously booked. This time we made reservations, so we got the seating. Upon seating, we were immediately given water, and our menus to look over. After looking over the menu, we decided on drinks, and what we wanted to eat. Once the waiter came back to our table we placed our drink orders and our food orders. I ordered a Caesar salad and he ordered the Maui onion soup. For our entrees my husband ordered the bone in ribeye with a side of mashed potatoes that we shared and I got the surf and turf. Overall, I would say our meal was really good. Neither of us could finish our steaks, so we brought them home as leftovers. I wouldn't say this was an extremely high-end steakhouse, but it was pretty close.

This is an amazing downtown steakhouse. Sit at the bar with Matt and Andrew. Excellent food and service. Very downtown old school. Love it!

Had an awesome time at Redwood this weekend! Could not recommend this steakhouse enough when staying downtown and don't want to break the bank. The dimly lit steakhouse vibes are there. The staff was so friendly and attentive during the whole meal. Love all those water refills; thank you. And the food was delicious. All the boxes were checked for me. We ordered the crab bisque and oysters on the half shell to start. The crab bisque was amazing, so flavorful, with plenty of crab, one of the best seafood bisques I have ever had. I basically sucked that right down. lol The oysters were fresh as well. For my main I had the filet, my boyfriend had the 20oz prime rib (that thing was huge), mashed potatoes and veggies to share. My filet was very tender, basically cut like butter. Mashed potatoes and veggies were both solid as well. Overall great experience at Redwood. I will def be going back!

Redwood Steakhouse, where do I start? I've been here several times. Every time I come here I'll order Baked Escargot, with smoked Mac and Cheese to start with. The servers are fantastic, and the atmosphere's lively for this downtown steakhouse.

We had such a wonderful dinner and evening here at the California Hotel. Our server Beatriz was so friendly as was all the staff. The food was awesome: I had a filet that was perfect and we had the sweet corn and Mac and cheese as sides-- I recommend both. A charming secret here in downtown Vegas.

Redwood is one of our "go to" places when we are in Vegas. It was delicious as always, with excellent service and reasonable pricing. We actually ended up going there twice this trip. Once to have the ribeye steak (it was super tender and very tasty this time around) and the scallops. The second time we decided to try the King Crab legs since it hadn't been available for a while. Although you only got 4 large legs (1 lb.), it was quite filling. Enough for 2 to share, along with a salad and corn side. We love this place and definitely would recommend it to everyone looking for steak and seafood in Downtown, Las Vegas.
