I really enjoyed Sabela Cafe. We had the Enqulal Wot, which is a spiced scrambled egg dish. And a beef dish (I think it was the Quanta Fit Fit but I don't remember), in any case it was like an Ethiopian stew but with smaller than bite size cuts of meat and veg. Both were served with and on injera, which is like a crepe but a bit sour. We ate it the more traditional way breaking off pieces of the injera to scoop the rest of the food instead of using silverware, but we were offered silverware if we needed it. We also had some awesome lattes. I would recommend Sabela Cafe as a good entry point if you haven't tried Ethiopian food before. There are plenty of more traditional American food (mostly breakfast) options if anyone in your party is not feeling adventurous, and you can never go wrong with good coffee.

They roast their own coffee and it is one of the best I have ever had. Great price for the huge serving and service is nice and welcoming. We didn’t had any clue about Turkish food but she helped explained the menu and recommended delicious food ( shiro with beef) for us.

Beware - they overcharge on the listed prices by a lot. The Menu said "fui" was $11. On the bill it was $18. Another item, an appetizer was listed as $8, but we were charged $11. On the whole, the bill came out $21 more than prices listed on the menu. It seems the lady just looks at the customer and decides subjectively how much s/he must pay.

The door was closed but there was a note with a cell number to call if we wanted to come in. There was another group of people also outside wanting to go in. They said this was their first time as well.I call the number, a lady answers with a heavy accent, I let her know she had customers wanting to come in and if she was open, (per her note on the door). She didn't say anything, hung up on me, and came to the door to let us in.It smelled like heavy incense and she looked at me unwelcoming. I was polite, smiled and asked if what I was smelling was her roasting coffee (I'm a coffee roaster myself). When she said, "yes that's what you smell" I knew she was lying. She told me all she had to offer was coffee, nothing else. The other party that arrived looked similar to her ethnicity. I didn't want to draw up that conclusion until she spoke to them. They spoke back to her in another language. IMMEDIATELY the owner or lady that opened the door for was elated and friendly with them and brought them menus to order. We walked out. I felt like she was being selective and prejudice even though I remained polite and respectful the entire time. We left.I always try to keep in mind "You never know what someone is going through". I also feel like if you're running a business and you're selective or prefer other ethnicities, perhaps be a little more subtle about it next time.

The food was amazing and the atmosphere warm and inviting. Service was amazing and the owner was kind. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to be adventurous and get off all that fakeness of the strip for something exciting, authentic, and so good you won't be able to stop eating.

Great food, generous portions, great service! I was unfamiliar with many of the dishes, and the owner gave fantastic recommendations. Super friendly atmosphere. Really nice gem away from the hustle and bustle of the strip.

Sables Cafe is amazing. It is located off Decatur and Flamingo. Upon entering we were greeted by the owner who was very welcoming and sweet. There are around 6-8 tables inside of this quant restaurant. It is a causal intimate vibe and homey. We were offered some amazing food suggestions such as the Ful and the Beyaynetu. We had the roasted coffee that she prepared by roasting coffee beans specially done by her. Service was superb and food was delicious. If you have not tried Sabela Cafe it is a must!

Friendly staff; quality food. Great place to come for breakfast for a healthy meal and to skip the crowds at most other places.
