It's always nice coming here. Close to home and food is great! I love the ambiance here as well. The service is also always on point.

Ordered for pick-up Lunch Special Tonkatsu Ramen soup, Gyoza, a Soda and a Thai Iced Tea with Boba. They had my order ready within 15 minutes all packed in a bag when I arrived. They made my Thai Tea with Boba when I got there. Great little place on W. Charleston next to other Restaurants and Car repair shops.

***Edit after original review***Although I personally did not like the flavor from Soru I did call & they were willing to give me a full refund (just hope it goes through in 5-7 days or I’m calling back lol)—* original post*I thought with all the good reviews I’d be blown away. WRONG!!!! Should’ve stuck with the ramen place I usually go to Ichi Ramen, where they actually add flavor to their food.I got the beef brisket ramen & I literally had to add my own seasoning at home. Asked for chicken chashu & they literally gave me a UNSEASONED ssa bland piece of chicken breast & had the nerve to upcharge my Uber $3!!!!Not to mention the salmon deep fried sushi was also flavorless & nasty. I’m just highly disappointed & really want my money back. This whole meal should’ve been free, 89 cent ramen home made from smiths would’ve been better than this! Try your luck somewhere elseI hope whoever responds to this review gets me my money back seriously I’m so disgusted

I will start with the ambiance, like they promote at their descriptions casual joint with a lot of anime stuffs....i do like their ambiance. The service is good, they serve us very well. The food is a little bit disappointing, it is japanese but not authentic more like fusion japanese. For example the rice, it's not japanese rice, and the mayo on unagi didn't expected. The ramen broth, and noodles something missing. The spicy on the ramen feel nothing. 4 stars for the service and 3.5 star for ambiance, because all these nice theme but place so small that very quick crowd, it's not the vibe you can enjoy (the concept of small japanese joint eat and out quickly)....food wise below our expectations for 4 star review. Still nice food joint to go if you are want to get something very quick.

First getting there, it's a small location but the inside really gives you a feel of Japanese anime culture. Getting seated was quick, the host and waitress were very nice and helpful. I got a beef brisket ramen, sooooo good and a big portion which was great because my girlfriend always likes to steal some bites. She got some shrimp tempura and California rolls she enjoyed that as well . Definitely will be going here for my ramen cravings.

Food/Taste/ - we ordered a Tonkotsu Black Garlic Ramen with Oh My God spice level and a Tonkotsu Ramen with So-So spice on the side. The broth seemed a bit watery in taste/flavor since it doesn't have the typical richness that accompanies a pork bone broth. The pork chashu didn't seem to be marinated as it was quite bland and it wasn't roasted as it was quite chewy with huge chunks of fat. The dishes leaned on the side of sweet which is odd since we were expecting savory overall. The OMG spice was fun and had a bit of mala that left a tingly feel in the mouth. The noodles were decent though! - friendly overall but may have a slight language barrier. - the store is cute as you walked in since there are anime decorations everywhere. However, as we sat and observed more, the furniture and the decorations make the restaurant feel worn and the black walls add a gloominess to it. The tables were sticky and quite low so we had to hunch over to eat. There's only one speaker that crackles and it is right next to the bar seating so it can get quite loud if you sit at the counter!Value for - we were surprised with a $0.85 charge on the OMG spice level. While I understand that many places include a charge for this, it wasn't listed on the menu and their reasoning is that their online menu lists it. We really wanted to like this place but the broth was disappointing overall.

DOES NOT HAVE ALCOHOL OR AYCE but it was very Delicious either way! My wife got ramen and I got two sushi rolls. I'm used to AYCE sushi, so at first I was a little concerned that I wasn't going to get enough food, but two rolls filled me up! The sushi and the ramen were both great! I love the atmosphere. The only thing that I didn't love 100% was the Thai tea, but I still drank the whole thing! Love it here! Highly recommend!

Ordered the Rainbow roll, Dragon, and fried California roll all were fantastic. We got one bowl of ramen as well and it was the perfect amount for two people with the rolls. A little hole in the wall restaurant with a good atmosphere and good food, will be back.
