Pricey. Admittedly, we bought 4 appetizers, 3 meals, a wine and a dessert to celebrate a birthday. Otherwise, if you wanted to try something exotic and modern while affording gas for the ride home, you cannot miss this place.Food: oh man. Familiar meals with interpretive cooking methods. Like the steak tartar? That crunchy fluff is a tendon. Still no idea how they did it. Calamari? Some of the best I’ve ever tasted in Vegas. And the salmon skins, must try. That said, don’t knock any of the entrees. The duck confit was rich and risotto like, I tried saving each bite of pork jowl, and the fish was as tasty as it’s beautiful.Service: I apologize if I butcher the name, but Dale, loved you. He was so enthusiastic about the food that he made our choices feel better before we knew we picked winners. Highly recommend

I wanted to love this cute place. It came close, but was closer to a great mistress than a wife. The food was good, the apple/beet salad was fabulous. The empanadas were good. Our entrees were 4.5, not amazing , EXCEPT the tumeric noodles. They were to die for. I probably wouldn't venture off the strip again this far but if nearby it would be worth a try.

Enjoyed our dinner here recently! We started with the pear and apple salad. It was so decadent. It was more like a dessert than a salad. Would have loved a little more arugula, but it was very tasty. Then we had the empanadas. The chimmichurri sauce was really good, but we wished there was a little more of that on them. I had the short rib with kimchi fried rice. The meat was so tender and the sauce was really good. The fried rice was amazing! My husband had the lamb with tumeric noodles. The noodles were the best we have ever had and the sauce you could drink it! We had the Madelines for dessert. We sat at the bar which we always love to do and had a great time with our server/bartender. It is a small quaint place and we really enjoyed it.

The slow braised short ribs were very tender and good. The pork was fatty and tender. But have to say overall the food was too salty for my taste. Thirsty for hours after this meal.

We live in Louisville, KY and don't get to Vegas often but his was our second time visiting The Black Sheep. The first time we came we did not know what to expect but having watched her on Top Chef we trusted that Jamie's culinary vision was right up our alley. She did not disappoint. Our second time was a stellar experience as well. The staff are so nice and welcoming. Take their advice if you're having a hard time making a decision. You will not be steered wrong. The food satisfies the soul and portions are generous. Their specialty cocktails are fantastic too. I regret that I did not have room for dessert. I may skip lunch next time to make sure I have room for more.

My boyfriend and I just watched Jamie’s season of Top Chef and we really loved her funny and authentic energy. So I had to add this to the list knowing I would be traveling to Vegas for work.I got an Uber from the Strip and this was about a 16 min drive. I got a seat at the bar and Dana was the bartender that helped me.I ordered a Hot Toddy to drink and then ordered my meal. The Salmon Skin Tacos were delicious. I love salmon (all parts of it) and this packed the flavor of salmon in multiple ways. The dish that surprised me the most was the Braised Pork Joel. Everything about it was divine!!! The pork melted in my mouth and the noodles were prepared perfectly. I loved the acid in the sauce and the way the veggies were prepared. It was the best thing I ate my entire week in Vegas!!——-(Note: Jamie isn’t there on Tuesdays so if you want to see her, go on another day. I’m sorry I didn’t get to meet her)

Hello Dear Reader, Our experience at Black Sheep was wonderful from start to finish. Joel took care of us, and he was knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. Plus he has the best hair in the service industry! As a former service worker, I loved that each of the servers touched our table and checked in with us. Definitely a team atmosphere. Chef Jamie's food is exquisite. The best menu items are the Calamari (which is not your normal Calamari) and the Trout...and the short-ribs...I can't make a choice. Thank you, Black Sheep!

Everything excellent, from food to service.Too bad that with the kitchen closing at 10.00 some workers while we was eating our dessert still, were already cleaning the room and closing shutters and doors. After everything close to perfection, with this act we felt kinda of pressured to leave the restaurant.

I had the opportunity to visit The Black Sheep on a work trip after watching Chef Jamie on Top Chef. I was disappointed that they were out of Short Rib by the time we got there but the food was excellent! Our server understood that we just wanted to order apps to share as we went and accommodated us. We had the Poached Pear Salad, Salmon Skin Tacos, Octopus, and Bao Sliders. Food, drinks, and service was great. I can’t wait to be back and try the braised short ribs!

The service and the food were amazing. I highly recommend the empanadas and the salmon skin tacos to start. All main dishes are incredible and portions are generous. Their Rioja red wine was a great pairing for our meals.

First time dining here. Cozy place, well-appointed, clean and somewhat modern aesthetic. Excellent, knowledgeable, personable and attentive staff. Every item we tried was a winner.

Fantastic 1st-time visit, and despite expectations being high after reading many great reviews, Black Sheep delivered! Excellent friendly service from Jayna, whose food and drink recommendations were spot-on. Salmon Skin Tacos are awesome, and really enjoyed the flavors of the Bao Sliders (off menu). Upside Down cocktail was unique and excellent. Loved the Short Ribs entree with kimchi fried rice (paired well with the Malbec). Will stop here again next time in Vegas for sure... was worth the 25-min drive from the strip area (then again, driving anywhere in Vegas takes at least 15-minutes).

First time dining for Galentine's (ladies dinner) and blown away by the Valentine's Day prix fixe menu! Can't wait to try their regular menu next time. Incredibly delicious and impeccable presentation.

The preset menu overall was very good, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the French onion soup appetizer and the duck confit main course I thought was very well prepared, my wife got the flat iron steak and she felt it was a little over peppered, but overall was good. Our biggest gripe was with the dessert, we both got the crème brûlée, the top layer was not torched properly, the crème was a not the thicker consistency we are used to and it almost tasted too salty or sweet, we couldn't quite figure it out. A final note we tried three different cocktails and thought all of them were delicious and had a perfect balance between the added flavors and alcohol. We would definitely go again, we just hope their desserts are better the next time around.

Everything is super salty. Sometimes, cloyingly so. I mentioned this to our server and she responded with, “to each their own,”. So rude. This restaurant used to be amazing. So disappointing. I would have been much, much, much happier eating at the Roberto's in the same plaza. You only have a limited amount of items on the menu. You should be able to nail a limited menu like that every time. Instead of pouring a bucket of salt into it and phoning it in. I will never return.
