The new owners have ruined this restaurant. Our family has been going to hush puppy since they opened in 1975. Our parents took us, we took our kids and we tonight to honor our father who passed because it was his favorite restaurant and and a family favorite for decades. The food is the worst meal I've ever gotten. The prices were atrocious and the service was horrible. We will never go back and we will tell all our longtime Vegas Friends to not go. Very, very sad thing to see such an iconic neighborhood, longtime family restaurant desolve into this awful place.

Not what it used to be. Now just mediocre food with bad service.*waits for owner to post passive aggressive comment to my negative review, what a professional ?. Another reason I'll not be coming back here. *

The food was great. The service was good. There was never a wait for the food to come out or refills. My friends and I hadn't been there for almost a year and we were able to tell that there were little things that had changed. Certain Specials that were enjoyed for years prior, were gone. The place definitely looked more dated and old but that was some of its charm. Smaller but still fair portions and the big thing was the prices just from a year ago. Four of us with an almost 200 dollar check with no drinks? At least they didn't rush us out after being there close to two hours and thankfully it wasn't busy. If it had, we would have left after eating. We'll probably be back but there are a lot of other places we might try. Thanks Hush Puppy for some great meals and better memories. Wish you well.

Not anything positive to say for this visit. Under new ownership/management and they need help. Fish had no flavor and was greasy; even the tartar sauce was basically a cup of mayo with a little relish. Chicken was so poorly prepared it was over cooked and tasted of old grease. Fries on both meals were warm at best and limp. This used to be one of our favorite places, not any more.If you are familiar with the original THIS ISN'T IT, SADLY ?.Lesson learn, never again and that makes me sad.

The food is not as good as it used to be. It's not bad. the server was very nice. The chicken wings had no seasoning at all. The pecan pie twist like sugar.

Been coming here for over 20 years and after tonight won’t be back sadly! New owners apparently bought the place and RUINED the good Hush puppy we all once knew. Took away the salad bar which was something I think everyone looked forward to here. New owners got rid of so many menu options such as the all you can eat specials including whole fried catfish; only have the catfish fillets now. Barely any body in the restaurant but yet we were there 2 hours because such slow service. Took 20 minutes to get the beers we ordered. Food took forever to come out. Not sure if they have one cook or what but slowest service ever.Very disheartening to know the hush puppy we once knew is gone. Thanks new owners!

It makes me sad to post that this place has really gone downhill and I doubt we’ll eat here again. Total menu overhaul (big focus on roasted chicken), huge price increases while food portions have shrank considerably.Food took forever, they weirdly brought us bottled water for refills and there was no one in the restaurant. If you’re looking for the nostalgic restaurant you’ve eaten at for years, it’s gone

I have been craving good catfish for a while now. The Hush Puppies on Nellis closed, and the roads to get across town to the original Hush Puppies really suck. Today, we had to be on that side of town, so we stopped in for lunch.Atmosphere was no way near where it used to be. No longer a salad bar available (Greatly missed by us and other customers there) The Hush Puppies are no longer the great tasting original fresh and cooked daily ones. These look like they are the frozen, not even round (as you can see in the picture), and no flavor at all. The Red Beans and Rice were ok but needed more flavor (IMHO). The catfish was ok. Again, there's not much flavor. The hamburger I was told was good. I asked about the original Hush Puppies and was told that there is a new owner that the Ghormley family sold it. Again IMHO the new owners do not know how to fix Southern foods. Will we be making the trip across town again for catfish from here? NO!

I used to frequent this location monthly. I slowed down during the Pandemic because they got rid of the salad bar and clam strips. I thought I would try again recently and wow. Prices have seen a 100-200% increase for take out. The drive-through was closed. I sat down with my son inside to find out that there was a 300% increase in prices. 3 piece cat fish and fries for over $23. It used to be $7.99. You are not and have never been a fine dining restaurant. Enjoy going out of business.

I have literally been living by this place for the last 16 years and it is typically packed. But I was so disappointed in the food I could not finish it, even my dog wouldn't eat it. Oh well at least now I

WARNING! This restaurant is on the way to closing. It's no longer all-you-can-eat, and the menu choices and prices are unreasonable! The parking lot was empty and I was the only customer there during lunch rush! I was so bummed I left without ordering! Seeing this everywhere nowadays. Very sad.

This place has got to be under new management or ownership. This is absolutely nothing like the restaurant I dined at less than a year ago. The service was always subpar, but the food always made up for the lack of staff. Well that is no longer the case. I can honestly say I had the absolute worse meal here “EVER” and that’s in 65 years. The catfish wasn’t fresh, was thin and fried hard like a potato chip. The cod was a frozen fishstick that was absolutely disgusting void of any flavor and had a strong fishy taste. I also had the chicken which was even worse. Deep fried jerky chicken. Dark burnt.Just close down already.

The quality and experience in this place has dropped dramatically post pandemic. No more all you can eat specials. No salad bar. They were out of crab legs? C'mon man! We were there almost 30 minutes before or server took our order. When the food came out, the order was incorrect. By the time it was fixed, we pretty much had to get to go boxes for half of us as we were just done. I used to go to Hush Puppy regularly and once loved the place. I think it's safe to say we won't be back.

We haven’t been to Hush Puppies in several years, so we were so excited to bring our daughter to experience the all you can eat Fried Catfish, Sweet Hush Puppies and salad bar. The first shocker was the parking lot was extremely empty. It went downhill from there. The outside was indicative of the inside (empty with just a couple patrons). My daughter immediately said let’s leave “there’s no one in here.” We should have listened to her. We looked at the menu and it was nothing of the past. Gone was the salad bar and all you can eat. We still decided to order food. We ordered the Catfish and shrimp creole, Cajun pasta with shrimp and Fried Chicken and fries. The food was TERRIBLE and BLAND. The catfish actually tasted like Swai instead of Catfish. They also had no chicken thighs or Mac and Cheese. Our waitress knew we didn’t like the food when she saw our plates were still full and we didn’t want to take it with us. We will never go back unless they return to the original menu and recipe. The new owner ruined a good thing. I wished I’d read the recent reviews before going.
