Overall was a nice experience. I'm fairly certain this is a Korean owned establishment and not authentic Japanese. For dinner for 3, we spent about $60Pros: Very clean, service was great, and our server was very friendly. Decor of the restaurant is nice and they present the food very well.Cons: for a restaurant that has katsu in their name, the katsu was just meh. Texture and taste reminded me of a crispy McDonald's nugget and overall was extremely breaded to the point that I could only taste the panko and was unsure of what the meat inside was. Also, not a breaking point since I personally like k-pop, but for a restaurant that also has the word "Japanese" in their name, the constant playing of k-pop took away from the experience of this being a Japanese restaurant.

Their katsu sets are the best I've had in town since Tonkatsu Kiyoshi closed down years ago. The place was never too busy the last few times I've gone to dine in so I got my food fairly quickly.

One of the best Japanese restaurants I tried, katsu so tasty, sauce came with sesame which you can mash by self, tempura shrimp with udon soup, it’s just awesome! This is really Asian taste, strongly recommend!

All I can say is "Wow wow wow!" The chicken katsu was made to perfection! So tender, and so flavourful. There was a generous amount of gravy which I also loved mixed in with the rice. Highly recommended.

Ya'll, when I tell you Tora Katsu and Curry is it, I meant it!I'm always looking for a taste of Japan around the city, I feel like I found it here. It's not very big, so if you come with a large group just keep that in mind. However, they are very accommodating! To start I ordered myself a tomomasu white peach soda and my partner got a coke (it's from the can/bottle). I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp and Soba (heads up that the soba is served chilled with a dipping sauce). A declicious little croquette was also included as well as Japanese pickles, cabbage with a dressing and a katsu dipping sauce. I'm drooling just thinking about it. For the most part the staff will hand you a hand grinder for the full experience of making your own katsu sauce. That was really unique and fun! Our server was a little busy so she did it for us. My partner ordered the Hire Pork (less fatty) Katsu and Udon. He had the same fixings as myself and we ordered a side of curry to alternate dipping in katsu sauce and that. Highly recommend that if you want to try a little bit of everything. He reported that it was indeed delicious. The general vibe I got of this place is very mom&pop- like so when you get there, make sure you're patient. The staff are incredible friendly and I can tell they are doing their best. The food was really well done, fried to perfection! If you are on the fence, go!

Stopped in for lunch. Restaurant is clean, cute simple decor and friendly service. Was surprised to be given a small dish of sesame and wooden stick. Was told to grin up the sesame and server will add the katsu sauce. This was such a nice surprise. It added a nice kick to the katsu sauce. My pork katsu was cooked perfectly. Crunchy, light and the pork stop very juicy. Would highly recommend Tora for lunch out dinner.

Located in the same plaza as Gabi and several other businesses so the parking lot can be busy. But, even on a Saturday night I was able to walk in and get seated right away. The interior is fairly large and bright. Lots of white tables and benches along the walls. The fish katsu and soba combo is large so make sure you're hungry. It comes with both cod and halibut filets that are thickly covered in a light and airy panko coating. The fish was fantastic, both were flaky and well seasoned. A shrimp tempura and potato croquette were also included, as well as a generous portion of cold soba noodles.

Tried Tora Katsu out since Ton Ton is sadly closed temporarily! This katsu and curry restaurant is located on Spring Mt right near Gabi Cafe. Food 3/5 Service 5/5 fast and friendly. Always checked in on usAmbiance 4/5 good lighting and cute setsPrice compared to quality/quantity 3.5/5Came on a Saturday night, seated with no wait.We ordered the pork rosu katsu set + udon and the beef katsu set + udon. To our surprise the sets came with a mini potato croquette and shrimp tempura (I'm not sure if it was mentioned on the menu or not but that was nice lol)Before the order came, we were able to grind our own sesame for the katsu sauce. After trying everything, the katsu itself was juicy with a crispy panko crust, however it lacked flavor immensely. The beef katsu had more seasoning than the pork but both were still lackluster and left us unsatisfied :( The udon and salad were the best part of the meal, super tasty and refreshing on both sides and a great portion. The udon had a lot of toppings and had great flavor. However for about $25 per set, the quality/flavor of the main item (katsu) didn't really match up with the price. Definitely a cute spot for a date if you're in the area, as the sets are aesthetically pleasing and a good meal! Plus you'll be seated quickly. However, if I wouldn't come specifically to satisfy your inner foodie as one of the other reviews stated previously
