No shower curtain, pool closed for a week, ice machine doesn't work, and room service REFUSED to bring me any. What are they? 12?

Next time I will sleep in my car before I stay in this hell hole. Please, please, please do not ruin your time away by thinking that this as a quality place to stay just because it has a recognizable name from the 1980's. The hotel is old and tired but that's to be expected in Laughlin. What makes it truly horrific is the ineptness and uncaring staff I have never seen a more poorly trained group of people with bad attitudes who literally despise the customers they have to service. I made a reservation two months ago, they couldn't give me the room I reserved. Reserved a high floor River view room, waited a half hour for them to give me a first floor with a view of where the dogs poop. Perfect for Valentine's Day. My feet literally stuck to the floor in the bathroom in the casino, the place is filthy. Air conditioning didn't work, took an eternity for someone to attend to it. Probably 50 cars waiting in the valet, no employee in sight. The list goes on and on but suffice to say, there are lots of options for places to stay that actually care about the customers that pay their salary. Golden Nugget Laughlin is trying to leverage their name from long ago when they were relevant but do nothing to make even one minute of a guests' stay pleasant. Stay away!

I'm not sure about my final rate. Just be careful when you do your checkin. I already paid my reservation on hotel.com and the lady tried to charge me 83,72$ instead of 14,99$+50 for the regular deposit. She told me that my reservation wasn't paid, even if I showed her the transaction on my card. It seems that she finally charged me the resort fees twice. We will see So my final rate is one star and if I could give less I would. The elevator for the west room was out of order all week-end long (maybe more). No compensation in any way. When I've made the check out, they tried again (same lady) to charge me more than what they had to. I had to speak loud to be respected, and be charged correctly. At this time, I didn't receive my refund. I'm waiting, I have a correct bill, so...

Had a weekend getaway and chose the Golden Nugget. The price was our driving factor. Room was good size and clean. We enjoyed playing the slots in the evenings and did our best to break even. The hotel was located for an easy drive to Oatman as well as checking out Bullhead City. Folks throughout the hotel and casino were friendly and always helpful.

If I could I would leave a "0" star or NEGATIVE STAR! Our stay was one of the most horrible experiences we have ever had. We were celebrating my moms 77th birthday, only to be HARASSED by one of Golden Nuggets security guards. Not once, but 4 times my husband and dad were told that they were CUT OFF! We were constantly being watched. And the WORST PART THEY WEREN'T EVEN DRUNK!! Our waitress confirmed that "No, you guys were perfectly fine" and she further said that only the servers could cut anyone off because they are trained and if we were drunk she would have passed that information to the next shift, but she never did that because they were fine. They claimed my dad was stumbling when he can't even stand for too long without his cane. Then his cane went missing and we went to claim it they said it was a weapon. A WEAPON!!! Unbelievable, we can't even walk with a cane because its a weapon. The head security manager stepped in, but it didn't matter the security guard talked over his manager, and as he walked away, he said, "I better walk away, before this turns into something bigger." After that we weren't able to sleep, we were extremely stressed at how we were treated. It is day 2 and no one has reached out regarding this upsetting event. WE WILL NEVER STAY AT THE GOLDEN NUGGET NOR WOULD WE RECCOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!

Well, I decided to give this hotel another try. Not by choice. Some friends of ours wanted to stay in Laughlin and invited us for a couple of days. They wanted to stay at Pioneer, but I didn't like the "motel" feel, so I suggested Nugget as I was familiar with it (regrettable), bad mistake. Again, should've stayed at Aquarius. At check in, the hostess was rude AF, basically called my wife a liar (more of a, 'I don't believe you'...but when confronted, didn't apologize). Very insulting to my wife! WTF, GN?! We went through, Hotels.com. If they're a subsidiary, fine. My wife booked a specific room. Our friends booked the same room. Granted both were the "Courtyard View", why did our friends get the "Patio View" with an unknown "manager decision" of a "free" upgrade and we were charged the extra upcharge of the same room? When we were there to register, we were told our room was not available and the room we had reserved was for an, "accessible room". We DID NOT reserve that room! But, if we wanted to be by our friends, they will give us the same type of room for an additional $20/night up charge and an increase in Resort Fee's. Hey, if there were was a miscommunication, whatever, fine. We don't mind paying the extra if it put us next to our friends, but don't be rude! As my wife was unhappy with the service she was receiving, the hostess looked at her co-worker to her right and she rolled her eyes (yeah, I saw that shit!!). My last review, I had another "check-in" fiasco that I didn't mention. So, in three and a half years, I've been here twice. Both times, there's an issue? What's the problem GN?! Oh, and those of you that like/dislike, or aware/unaware....this is a pet friendly hotel. Stand-by to stand-by you may have a neighbor with a yippy dog. As far as the amenities that I've mentioned in my previous review.....SAME....minus the Scamdemic Covid BS! I will be following up with a Regional Manager, Corporate, or the Nevada SEC! I've never been so mad!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place used to my go to spot in Laughlin, but I have no idea what happened since I was here last. The valet attendant was nice as was the front desk clerk. Even though our room wasn't ready they checked our bags quickly and we went to get a drink and gamble. Even though I was playing poker at the bar at max bet, they charged for my wine. Then we moved from the bar and couldn't find any cocktail servers at all. We discovered later they all huddle next to the bar where they have their station and they bitch about how much they hate their jobs and each other. Every girl would just stand to the side and talk trash about one of the other girls, all while not doing any work! The whole two days we stayed it was one rude person after the next. Rude change attendants, rude server at Saltwater and rude bartenders. We went next door to Pioneer and got amazing service which I remember that place used to be a dive but everyone there was so sweet and genuine and the machines were paying! So much for the GN. Next time we come we will stay anywhere but this place.

We stayed in Laughlin for a week, and we stayed at Aquarius for four days and one night at the Golden Nugget. We should've just stayed at the Aquarius but I wanted to go back to the Nugget as I used to worked there. We arrived at the hotel yesterday around 4:30ish pm (12/21), and the moment we walked in, we noticed the AC was loud. We immediately called the front desk (the same guy who checked us in answered the call) and asked if we could switch to a different room. The front desk agent was not helpful and advised us to call Engineering. I'm sorry, what? We just checked in, and you gave us a room with a loud of AC, and now you want us to do your job? I eventually got a hold of engineering, and they said they would come by. However, we had dinner plans, so we permitted them to enter. We came back to the hotel 4 hours later, around 9 pm. Nothing was done, so we called again. They arrived, and he confirmed it was loud and asked if we wanted to switch rooms. It was already late, and we unpacked, so we just stayed. The sleep was horrible, and now we are driving back with less sleep--good job GNL staff for not accommodating, poor customer service, and overall terrible experience. The hotel is falling apart, and it's just a sad condition. DON'T STAY HERE!!!

I called marketing department all day, but the operator called Virginia either kept telling me there were no one in that department or transferring me to other departments such as front desk, security..., I couldn't talk to the manager either, Virginia told me that, it looks like no one works in the casino/resort, she then hung me up very rudely!

Edit: I just spoke to our friends who were with us during our trip, and they informed us that they paid $50 for their security deposit. We paid $300 which I KNEW was insane. So someone at the front desk clearly overcharged us and stole the money because we also never got a dime of it back. Terrible. We stayed here last month (mid november) and everything was awful from the minute we got to our room to when we left. When we checked in they told us our security deposit was double what we were told when booking online, which is insane. I have stayed at very nice, expensive vegas hotels and I have never had to pay $300 for a security deposit. Then when we finally get to our room, it's DIRTY! We were literally sent to a room that someone just left from. There were used tissues on the dresser, wet, dirty towels on the bathroom floor, and the bed literally looked like someone just crawled out of it. When I picked up the phone and told them we were sent to a room that was not cleaned, they told us to go back downstairs to be assigned a new room. The front desk clerk apologized but immediately started blaming housekeeping and started saying things like "I hope they get fired" which made us uncomfortable. We were offered a new room, but it was much further away and the view we got was of more hotel rooms. We were offered no other means of compensation. Had this happened even at the Golden Nugget in Vegas, we would have at least been offered a discount or SOMETHING. I know this isn't a nice hotel at all by any means but that felt pretty insulting for what we had to pay and from then, things just kept getting worse. The TV in the room is so dark it's nearly impossible to watch anything, and there are no settings on it to brighten it at all. The AC only works for ten minutes, then stops for a half hour, then on for another ten minutes. It was hot in our room all night, even when it turned on it was loud and woke us up and didn't seem to do anything more than act as a weak fan. the coffee maker also turned off in the middle of making coffee four times, and when it finally managed to make a full cup, it overflowed (yes i poured out the previous attempts). I was in no way expecting the coffee to taste good, but we drove 7 hours and I needed a pick me up. It tasted like horse shit. When I voiced a complaint about the AC (that was really the thing that mattered the most) they just kept telling us to go back downstairs to the front desk. We were already sick and tired of running back and forth, so we just said forget it. The pool apparently closes extremely early, because when we tried to use it around 5pm a staff member told us to either use the hot tub or leave because it was closed. Fine, we used the hot tub. On the bright side, at least that was nice. Until we saw an old man staring at me from one of the rooms. When I told my boyfriend and pointed at which room, he told me we should just go. Really creepy. We ate dinner at Bubba Gump, which was very nice. Our server was sweet and the food was great so that lifted our spirits quite a bit, until we hit the casino. ALL of the staff in the casino are so unnecessarily rude!!! One lady in particular at the roulette table told off our friends who met us there, and screwed him out of the money he had barely just sat down and bet. When he politely went over to a manager and explained, he kept using language that painted our friend as some kind of entitled scammer when he hadn't done a single thing wrong?? So we just left and told them we wouldn't be coming back. Gambled at the Edgewater instead! On our last night there we ate at claim jumper which was awesome. But the restaurants within the hotel were literally the only positive thing about our entire stay. Do not stay at the Golden Nugget Laughlin. They are rude, have inadequate staff, they overcharge for their disgusting rooms, and the staff in the casino will just steal from you and management will not only let them get away with it, but they will verbally abuse you if you approach them. Please, stay s

This place was absolutely awful. We pull in with our boat, valet and front desk don't know if we need a special pass or where to park. Another valet walks up who gives us a pass to park across the street. We check into room #1, where we immediately notice the bed isn't made. Notify the front desk only for them to tell us housekeeping has gone home and they'll credit us the resort fee. It was a free room we won at an auction, so there was no resort fee. We drag our stuff downstairs and proceed to check into room #2, only to find that the lights are on and the door is being propped open, by the deadbolt from the door, seemingly occupied. We go back downstairs and explain the situation, before checking into room #3, which thank God was fine. Rooms are outdated and dirty, no internal lock, and given the complete disarray of their inventory of available versus occupied rooms, we were nervous. The pool has the biggest filter which I stubbed my toe on. I will never ever stay here again, free or not. The only pleasant part of our stay was our breakfast server at Claim Jumper inside the hotel. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else...anywhere else.

Negative stars. In the recovery stages of cancer. Drank about a half a cup of Diet Coke and it didn't sit well with me. Ended up throwing it up in the trash can. Went outside to get some air and three casino goons came to throw me out. Even though I showed them the 10 inch scar from my surgery and was as sober as a Church lady. Went and found a manager who proceeded to cut me off as I spoke and just kept saying "we don't know your medical condition". Not that I didn't also show him the obvious scar and the fact that I don't drink anyway, and was obviously not intoxicated. Spent $800 and a 4 hour drive to get here. Worst experience in a casino I have ever had. A bunch of brain dead goons and managers who chose this job over working at a gas station. I am disgusted with how I was treated and out of empathy for a two time cancer survivor you should never ever go to this dive wanna be casino.

No room service, when I told the front deskto please send up towels and coffee as I was on my way to dinner, they gave them to me to take up. I was paying for service. The thermostat was not working, cold in our room. Remote control for TV didn't work. In short, I would not come back.
