“The absolute best gem in Vegas. Absolute perfect beer bar. The atmosphere is an absolute blast from the past that will make you feel like you just took a trip through time. “Indulge me as I recount the captivating tale of Proper Sandwich Company - an exquisite gastronomic haven meticulously curated by the visionary sandwich artist Phil. Having migrated from the grandeur of Chicago to the vibrant tapestry of Las Vegas in 2004, Phil embarked on an epicurean odyssey that has left an indelible mark on the city's culinary landscape.Phil, a connoisseur of unparalleled taste, polished his craft as a sommelier at Guy Savoy and later ascended to the esteemed position of Wine Director at Caesar's. The past decade has seen him and his wife, Kristin, orchestrating impeccable 'barbeques' for their fortunate circle of friends.Since 2020, Phil's passion for quality has burgeoned into an enchanting journey of sandwich creation, inspired by his culinary experience and reminiscent of his Chicago roots. His relentless pursuit of excellence, combined with hours of engagement with vendors, exploration of fresh produce, and mastery of the art of porchetta roasting, has birthed a culinary symphony, Proper Sandwich Company. As you step into this quaint establishment, you are immediately embraced by an intimate atmosphere - a place to sit, savor, and revel in the artistry of sandwiches crafted the Proper way. The menu is a testament to Phil's dedication, with a meticulous selection of Bánh Mì and Vietnamese options, paying homage to the rise of mom-and-pop establishments, particularly those with Vietnamese heritage.During my recent sojourn, I surrendered to the allure of the Hot Prime Beef & Cheddar - a harmonious blend of house-roasted prime beef, Tipperary Irish cheddar, crispy fried onions, 1000 horsey sauce, and house-made 'Arby' sauce on a delicate potato roll. The experience was delightful, resonating within me for days, compelling me to make subsequent visits. In the resplendent tapestry of culinary experiences, Proper Sandwich Company stands as a beacon of sophistication and taste. I fervently anticipate the day when a second location graces my locale, enabling more to luxuriate in the culinary brilliance orchestrated by Phil and his team. A captivating journey for the palate, Proper Sandwich Company unequivocally deserves five stars and beyond.“
“Best Detroit Style Pizza in Las Vegas!! Great staff and Owners! Live music and an Amazing rotating Tap beer selection! They pour a nice Fernet and pop a PBR for me ?Parking: Shared parking lot with multiple businesses, can be full quite often.“
“Lovely from start to finish. We were there celebrating a birthday. Gumbo was delicious, the fillet perfectly prepared, and the charred brussul sprouts were tasty. Since we were celebrating a birthday they brought a scoop of gelato for dessert“
“We came here to drink at the oldest establishment in Las Vegas and glad we did! A great little pub with reasonable prices, we soaked in the history and had a great conversation with our bartender, Dean.Drinks were good and all was well. I look forward to returning someday!“
“I love supporting Latino owned businesses and Servehzah made all of my friends and I really happy, big shoutout to Emma for being so welcoming and hard working! My friends loved the michelada flight, I enjoyed the house lager Nueva Esperanza! The art, music, vibes, and set up are all what makes this place so unique and amazing.“
“First review since moving to Vegas. Let me start with the bartender Jomel, super funny and nice. Made great recommendations for my beer snob friends. Don't let this dive bar fool you. They also have a kitchen and the hot dogs are amazing! Definitely love the local vibe“
“Love beer zombies, love this location! It’s a five seat bar, but we visit in the afternoon and have never had trouble grabbing a couple seats. The beer tenders behind the bar are always fun to chat with, especially to get their opinion on beers. We have always been able to chat with other locals at the bar too. It’s a great place and one of the few places in Vegas that always have a few sours or smoothie beers on tap. Great to get a mix of beers to go too!!“
“We had a birthday dinner with 10 people including a 1 year old! Each person had their own meal which included the rib platter, duo plates with either st Louis ribs, baby back ribs, brisket, pulled pork, hot links, smoked Mac and cheese, baked beans, 2 had huge baked potatoes and the kid's 2 slider meal! The meat falls off the bones and just the right flavoring! You might not need the bbq sauces that you can get on the side but they are very good! The sides are very good too!Parking: Small parking area between pawn shop and restaurant but can usually find parking.“
“Go for the food, not the drinks. Hendricks/tonic was not Hendricks. Vodka/soda maybe had a splash of vodka. Long Island Iced Tea was more sweet than it should have been.Bacon Chili Bowl was plentiful. Nashville Hot Chicken was huge and good. The 24K Burger was very tasty.Quite expensive for glorified bar food.“
“This place is pretty decent. Good beers, local and other craft. Didn't try any food. Good for games.**Edit: We've since been back quite a few times. Actually every time we go to Vegas since. We love this place. Food has actually always been great as well.“
“My parents wanted a seafood boil for lunch and we decided to check out Crab Island. It is located in the SW area. We walked in and were surprised to an empty restaurant! We were greeted by a friendly guy who said to sit anywhere we wanted. We chose a booth which is large and plenty of room for 4. The dining area is spacious and open with booths and tables. We still couldn't believe no one else was dining! We were given menus and I like that they have combos which include sides. The prices are not bad compared to some other spots. Started off with garlic bread which only came with 2 slices. My parents ordered the Snow Crab Legs Lover with shrimp, 2 corn, 1 potato and added 5 slices of sausage. They went with the signature seasoning and mild spice level. My husband & I ordered the Build Your Combo 3lbs with shrimp, black mussels, 3 corn, 3 potatoes and added 10 slices of sausage. We went with the signature seasoning and medium spice level. We were given bibs and gloves and a bucket for shells. The garlic bread came out first then the waiting began. We have been to plenty of seafood boil spots and the food usually comes out pretty quick and since we were the only ones in there we expected it to. But unfortunately that wasn't the case. We waited at least 25 minutes til it finally came! Our server came by plenty of times to refill our drinks while we were waiting and kept telling us the food should be coming out. Then another staff member from the kitchen came to us and told us the same thing. Our bags finally came and be careful when opening because there was a lot sauce in there. The shrimp size was good as were the black mussels. We are used to ordering signature sauces and usually they are more savory but the sauce here was actually on the sweet side. The lemons helped a little. Overall it was good. We like spicy but we went with medium because the server said it was hot but it wasn't. Our server was great when it came to keeping our drinks full. I did knock off a star for the long wait and sweet sauce. Can't say if we will be back but we gave it a try!“
“What a fun night out! For 90 minutes and only $20/pp to play, we were entertained in a really cool venue with great service! I will definitely be back!Service: So perfect! From the front desk to our waitress and even our dart specialist (can’t remember what they call this person)…we were well taken care of!Ambiance: The space is sooo cool! We are locals and LOCALS get discounts…BUT, they also offer really good specials. They even have a Happy Hour! I will be bringing my clients here for a fun night out for sure. The games are so much fun. You even get a free group photo and video!Food: This isn’t just bar food…This is ELEVATED bar food! They have tons of options. Even Vegetarian! They also have a bunch of really different designer drinks.“
“So nice to finally visit this location. I met my girlfriend here for dinner and I enjoyed my visit. Diana was our server in the bar area, and she was awesome. I also liked that other workers who seemed to be managers stopped by and asked how everything was going.Food:I had 2 shots of Crown on the rocks, and my friend had the red sangria. My friend had an enchilada dish (forgot the name), and I had the Chicharrones. The chicharrones were so flavorful, and I really enjoyed the rice. Lastly, I love the chips and salsa. The refried beans were warm, and the salsa was delicious.Overall, it's a great spot to hang out at.“
