We had never ordered Sushi before. They were very helpful and explained the process. The food was fantastic!!!!

Don't be deceived by the decoration, the seafood is fresh and tasty, plus fresh wasabi was a treat. I would redo the prints on the wall with proper label, or have stacks of menu available by the entrance. The hand writing looks like a high schoolers and improper. Side note: the owner offered a homeless lady a free soda when she offered to pay. Would support just for the character he represents.

Popped in for a late lunch since they open at 2. We had Gyoza, Rainbow Roll, Wayne's, Nigiri - salmon & yellowtail. All very good. We will be back.

Awesome little Hole-In-the-Wall place. Great eats and fresh fish. Family run (or so to seem), and the food is on point! I have traveled the world in search of Gyoza… This place is #1 US, and #4 Personal bests for the world so far.Superb attention to detail, and even though they have a small price increase (don’t whine over a 1$), who cares; Good Food is good. They do it well! All of it!

It's not bad, but not great. The pieces are so big they're going to fall apart. But I'm not going to complain much about it because it was worth the price with the large pieces. The crab mix did taste like the Safeway stuff. My biggest complaint is the staff and the atmosphere. The server was dismissive and cold. She came up and said bluntly "what drink are you going have" and she rolled her eyes when we asked for plates. The place was pretty decent but the menus seemed old and dubstep music was playing. I recommend it if you want sushi to go but unless they have some changes it's not a sit down restaurant.

I'm fromLas Vegas! Just moved to Reno 1 year ago. With that being said, I have been to every high end and hole in the wall sushi spot in the worlds food Mecca! When we moved here at first we were very discouraged due to Reno's food scene not that great ! We tried almost Every Sushi restaurant with mediocre results at best. Then my husband found 399 Sushi! FINALLY!!!!! We found our sushi home in Reno!! The sushi is delicious! This place hits the spot! Their Salmon skin salad is bomb with crispy pieces of salmon over a bed of greens and a yummy dressing! The baked rolls are my favorite! Try the Superman and the King Kong rolls !! Also, the rolls are Huge! The only thing is, there is no All You Can Eat. But I don't mind cuz the food is so good!!! Don't miss this little gem!

Easily the best sushi in Reno. They dont offer all-you-can eat sushi and this means you get better quality fish and the correct ratio of rice to fish. My only criticism is that we had a spicy roll with chili oil that washed out the flavor of the fish and unagi a bit. But we may never eat sushi anywhere else in Reno ever again.

I downloaded Yelp literally to write this review! The Sushi quality is amazing. Other places in Reno are sub par (Tokyo Sushi is trash). No all you can eat but that's the way it should be. Actual craftsmanship is the sushi way. The Sake toro is pure butter and comparable to the Bay Area and Seattle. They also gave us fresh wasabi which was a nice treat :)

This place has become my latest addiction. They don't offer all you can eat - which in a lot of ways makes them the best take out! Their fish is fresh and it's fun to be intentional about what you order but able to mix and match full rolls vs. half rolls. My favorite option is their crystal shrimp deluxe hand roll - it is a must and great value. I also love the Lily and the Nevada Crunch. This place is fast and you just can't beat the quality. It can add up quickly but is a great option when you're just craving that one thing (for me salmon nigiri) and don't want to overstuff yourself at AYCE. Parking can be tight but the service is great.

This is the best sushi in Reno from a quality perspective. They are very selective with their fish and it's always noticeable compared to other spots. Everyone working there is nice and it's smaller so it's not as noisy as the busier all you can eat places.

Awful service and even though we asked multiple times we never received plates. I watched the server put food in the toaster oven and drop the tongs on the floor and just put it back on the top and kept using it. I had to send my order back twice because they kept putting some kind of sauce in my hand roll. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Amazing food, friendly owner. Love that they offer half rolls! Definitely visit 399 Sushi!

Oof this place. So firstly lady that was there was really rude. Rice is old tasting like they only make 1 pot n let it sit all day. The salmon was cut poorly, cheap wasabi, and cheap soy sauce. It was 20 for 2 plain rolls. Not worth it.

Now my husband and I like sushi, a lot. We've been to most of the AYCE places in town and we've got some good stuff. But honestly, I would rather go to 399. Their fish tastes so much fresher than anywhere else we've been! We don't eat a lot of complicated rolls and the care that goes into each piece of nigiri comes across in every bite. My husbands favorite is the mackerel, he says it's perfectly seasoned every time. Mine is the hamachi and it just melts in your mouth. We also love their upside down shrimp and the BOB nigiri but you can't really go wrong with anything on the menu. The perfect spot for an after work "sushi snack"!

I decided to come here because saw good reviews about tasty sushi. Once I came in 2 employees were busy just looked up and looked back down, not welcoming at all and this is my first time I’m here.I looked around and all the tables were dirty only thing available was a booth on the corner, never once was offered anything to drink just felt awkward not the place to come and eat by urself.
