We made a reservation here because a man in the elevator with us at the resort this steakhouse was located in said that he had been to many steakhouses across the country but this one was his favorite and that it had really impressed him the night before. He mentioned the abalone on the menu, which I thought would have been fun to try but we stuck to the prime rib. Next time I will have to try that! Anyways, we had the prime rib and truffle Mac and cheese and it did not disappoint. Cocktails were stiff and luxurious. I had the martini, while my partner had the old fashioned and we both enjoyed them very much.

I don't know what it is about certain restaurant types and the gambling environment, but steakhouses have seemed to be that staple for those kinds of situations...or maybe it's just me. Either way, whenever I'm in a city where gambling is one of the main sources of entertainment, you can count on me visiting one of these establishments during my time there and being in Reno is no different. Let's take a bite into, Bimini Steakhouse. The Place (5 out of 5) - Bimini Steakhouse is located in Reno, NV and more specifically, inside of the Peppermill Casino. Right off the bat, it can be quite difficult to find. To do what I can to help, it's located in close vicinity to the pool area! Once you're inside, the place is absolutely gorgeous for its own reasons. First off, the center pillar is pretty eye-catching. Next, the ceilings are super tall which is great because it makes the place feel much bigger than it is. Finally, the bar area is quite spacious as well. Plenty of tables and booths situated throughout the restaurant and the booths are both roomy and comfortable. The Service (5 out of 5) - Although I was meeting up with friends over the weekend, this particular reservation I made was for 1 and was on a Friday evening. I arrived about 45 min early, checked in with the person who was at the front desk who, coincidentally I'm guessing, was the GM as well, Peter. Peter greeted me and mentioned that they should be able to seat me right away. After visiting the restroom, the hostess promptly led me to my table for the evening. Kimberly was the first to greet me and introduce herself as one of the wait staff and mentioned that Ced, or Cedric would be my main waiter as well. Both were absolutely amazing and really easy to talk to! Ced and Kimberly had great attention to detail, respectful in their demeanor, routinely checked in to see how things were and if anything else was needed of them, kept the drinks flowing, and were just all-around a pleasure to have as wait staff. Truly made my Bimini experience that much more memorable! Thank you, all! The Food (5 out of 5) - Starting off with drinks, I went with two traditional cocktails, an Old Fashion to start and then a few Kentucky/Bourbon Mules. The drinks were perfect. For an appetizer, after Ced's recommendation, I started with the Tempura Coconut Prawns. Here's the thing, I'm actually not a fan of coconut...not the taste, the consistency...and I always stray away from these kinds of offerings, but...I'm glad I didn't. The prawns were tender, juicy, and the brown sugar rum dipping sauce was absolutely delicious. Next, something I wasn't expecting was served to me. A palette cleanser. A martini glass filled with coconut sorbet w/sparkling wine. This was an absolute pleasure to have and definitely cleansed my palette for what was to come next. For my main course, I ordered the A-5 Japanese Wagyu Filet Mignon. Now, I've had my fair share of various meat cuts when it comes to steaks and, by far, this has got to be my favorite one. The steak was a perfectly cooked medium rare+...it was moist, tender, melted in your mouth like butter, and was really easy to eat. For a side, I had the Maine Lobster Whipped potatoes...definitely wasn't the best whipped potatoes I've had, but the chunks of lobster in there were plenty, flavorful, and added for a perfect contrast to the potatoes itself. I decided to get two sauces, the chimichurri and the roasted-garlic cabernet (both served on the side) and, by far, my favorite was the roasted-garlic. The steak was more than fine to speak for itself, but having a few dips every now and then into that cabernet sauce provided a bit more of a tart and acidic bite to balance things out with the richness of the meat and potatoes. For dessert, I had probably one of the top 3 creme brulees I've had in my life...a peach-infused creme brulee. It was the perfect end to the meal. Not overly sweet and the peach flavor was definitely prominent in the custard. I normally don't me

Excellent service, very good steaks, and a nice comfortable environment.. had the NY Strip and the Shellfish Paperadelli pasta. Both were delicious. Also the shrimp appetizer was quite impressive and delicious!

I'd give this place 5 stars for cocktails! This is where I leArned that putting a rose-shaped ice cube into a martini class or literally any glass makes a cocktaiI We also got a bottle of pinot noir for our steaks from Oregon coast, pretty good!! 4 stars Kuz the filet was really tiny LOL the plating was not good it looked even tinier on that huge white plate without garnish and the side was in a bowl so it didn't cover the space The tomahawk was actually really good and looks gigantic next to the little filet mignon very tender!

This steakhouse is located in the Peppermill and has very nice decor that is tropical/ocean themed. Before the entree came out, they brought over a martini glass with sorbet and Prosecco in it. I liked the combination and found it refreshing and sweet. I had the prime rib and the orzo as a side. I thought the prime rib was good but I don't think I would order this again if I were to come back here. The orzo was too creamy for me and I would have preferred something less heavy. The bread basket was good and so was the chocolate at the end of the meal. The waiter was very helpful about answering my questions about the menu.

First off I have been wanting to try this place for 7 years now. I finally came in for my birthday this year and I was disappointed. The service was good, but you can tell they were understaffed so we did wait a while for the food, drinks, and bread. We got the table side drinks which were cool just very expensive. We also got 3 sides: Lobsters mashed potato's. Very dry and you couldn't taste the lobster. Creamed spinach, it was just ok. Garlic fries, they came undercooked so we had to return them. Lobster bisque: just ok, had hardly any pieces of lobster in it. Filet mignon. I asked for mine medium rare and it came over cooked. There was no flavor in the meat. The plate came with a tiny tiny serving of the "chefs choice" which was some macaroni salad that was utterly disgusting. The sauce that went on the steak was gross too. They never refilled our drinks or bread too. The bill was well over 300 for all this. It's sad to say I don't feel this place is worth it. I personally think you shouldn't spend that much on food that isn't good.

What can I say about Bimini? If you are looking for 5 star food and service, this is your place! We came in to celebrate a special occasion with our family and Bimini made the whole experience memorable for all of the right reasons. The space is absolutely beautiful. It's beautifully decorated and they also have a really cool bar. We were seated promptly and greeted by our server Morgan. I cannot say enough about his wonderful service. He patiently answered all of our questions and gave us great suggestions. Bimini has a fabulous menu with lots of different options. We started with the cheeseboard and oysters on the half shell. Oysters were fresh and delicious and the cheese board was outstanding. We followed that with the Wagyu filets, steak Diane and the prime rib. Everything was amazing but the star of the show was the steak Diane. It is prepared table side, perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. The sides are suitable for sharing. We ordered the lobster mashed potatoes, French fries and the sautéed mushrooms. The lobster mashed potatoes were to die for with huge chunks of lobster. Highly recommend! We were too full for dessert but Morgan was kind enough to bring out a delicious dessert for the person in our party who was celebrating his graduation. He really made our evening feel special!! Bimini is definitely one of the top steakhouses in Reno. It's pricy but well worth it. It's an elevated experience that you don't find often. Reservations are recommended and it was quite busy on our visit. I cannot wait to come back again!

Heartbreaking that I am still on the hunt for the best steakhouse. So far nothing has compared to Harrah's old steakhouse that we used to frequent. First, hands off to Cami. Can say she is one of the best waitresses we've ever encountered. Not only was Cami very friendly, but she was super attentive to our group. She made our Caesar salad and our bananas flambee tableside which is always a nice little treat. That takes me into the food. The steaks were ok-good, but they were not to die for. I will have to say portions for the price was fitting. My friend and I shared a 12 oz filet and it seemed like much more. Although the steak was cooked as we requested (med/rare) it was a little on the chewy/dry side; I was expecting a much more tender delivery. The sides we ordered were mushrooms and root vegetables. Both pretty small and enough to feed 1-2. Tasty but just not enough for $15 each. The Caesar and bananas flambee (not pictured) were both really good. I would come back just bc the restaurant is a nice atmosphere (Peppermill is really nice hotel/casino), and the service was beyond great. The food was alright, but maybe the second visit will be better. Corkage was $30 I think? A bit high for Reno, but cheaper than buying a bottle.

Our server Bob was so friendly and did such a great job! We absolutely loved him and so did all of the tables around us. We had an incredible dinner and ate way too much food. This is the best steakhouse in Reno. We have never had a bad dinner here- you can't go wrong.

We were in town for Father's Day and wanted a nice steak dinner. Neither one of us have ever been to the Peppermill for food, but have heard great things about their signature steakhouse, Bimini. When you arrive to the resort, head to the front desk and take the escalators directly from the left to the second floor. From there, hang a right and walk all the way down past the gym and you will find Bimini (you'll see signs). Since it was relatively packed because of Father's Day, reservations were hard to get. We didn't want to wait until 9pm (their next available seating) so we chose to sit at the bar. It worked out nicely because there were just a few other people dining there. We ordered the following: * 12oz Prime Rib ($44) * Dry Aged New York Striploin - Aged 42 Days - ($73) * Au Gratin Potatoes ($12) * Sautéed Mushroom ($12) Both entrees were cooked to the temperature requested -- the steak had good marbling and the 12oz prime rib was big enough for two people to share. The potatoes and mushrooms were splendid. I heard from our neighboring diners that the Maine Lobster Whipped Potatoes are really good also. Complimentary bread and butter (with volcanic black salt) are served upon seating. Rose was our server and bartender, and did an epic job running the show. Good food. Casual and yet trendy environment. Fantastic service from the bar. Would return!

We have eaten here before and wanted to come back. We both had the Filet and it was great. We started the dinner with a Jumbo shrimp cocktail and it was also very delicious. We had a bottle of Duckhorn wine to complement the dinner. Yes we will be back

Not sure why but after living in Reno for a few years now, we just discovered Bimini Steakhouse. Boy were we missing out!! We are ready to make up and have been back three times in a month. Blame it on the stellar service, good drinks and mouth watering food. Every bite that we have had has been delicious but so far our favorite are the lobster cakes and the lobster crusted Chilean sea bass. Will. Be. Back.
