Awful service.

St. Patty's day they were unfortunately understaffed. Took 45 minutes to get a drink, which arrived after my lukewarm dinner. Wonderful waiter who was very apologetic and very professional. Overall love this venue.

Cafe Whitney is excellent. Beautiful space, friendly servers, delicious food and excellent cocktails. We ordered dinner from there last night and got the Brussel sprouts, hamachi tostada (with spicy green aguachile sauce), and the pork belly ramen. All were excellent! We ordered two cocktails (Mt Rose and Rock & Rush). Great. The bartender was really cool and friendly too.

This is a vibin' hotel bar/restaurant. They have an awesome HH during the weekdays and nice perks if you're staying in the hotel.

Our book club had a fantastic time at Cafe Whitney on a recent Saturday evening. We had a party of 7 and had made reservations, which were honored promptly upon our arrival. Despite a couple of our members being delayed by 30 minutes, the staff graciously accommodated us without any rush to order before everyone was seated. Our appetizers and entrees arrived promptly, and we were particularly impressed by the Turkey Meatball Linguini. The meatballs were tender and flavorful, and the pasta was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of sauce. We were too full to try dessert, but the dessert cocktails sounded incredibly tempting. The ambiance at Cafe Whitney was delightful, with beautiful decor that added to the overall experience. We also appreciated that the noise level was not too high, allowing for easy conversation among our group. Overall, Cafe Whitney provided us with a memorable evening, and we look forward to returning in the future. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a charming dining experience in the area.

Love the ambiance of this place! It feels like one of the more high end places in town but the prices are reasonable. Had the $12.99 burger and beer special they have on Tuesdays. I had my burger with ghost pepper cheese and avacado. Chef really nailed the spice where it was pleasant but not overwhelming. This was our 2nd time getting this deal since marketed at the climbing gym (Basecamp) on the 2nd floor.

Staying at the ROW with no car, we have limited places to eat, especially happy hours. Lo and behold pops this place on my Yelp app. Nobody clearly seems to know about this place, for few people were sitting in the bar area for this wonderful and affordable happy hour. We sat at. High top table and both ordered the Winter aperol spritz ..half off was 6.50 cents..what a steal. It was big and tasted marvelous! They had a few bar bites half off as well..both of us wanted the carne asada tacos and we split the Brussels sprouts. The food was absolutely delicious. The Brussels sprouts were incredible, it was a suggestion from our bartender and they were as good as he sold them. I fear nobody knows about this place, they also do a reasonable brunch..keep this place in business...I will be here EVERY time I visit Reno, car or not.

We have been to Whitney Cafe many times and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. This time we were excited to bring out of town guests, but was very disappointed. The menu was very limited, many items had jalapeños or shriacha where others were very bland. Not the restaurant it was. We won't be going back.

Great food, good drinks. My friend ordered the Peak burger with all the extras. It was huge! The only thing I'd want to warn people is the ghost pepper pepper jack cheese is no joke! Make no mistake our group can eat some spicy food, but that cheese was so hot 2 of our friends couldn't finish it. They were sweating and coughing. So be warned when you order the cheese or maybe have it on the side. The Brussels sprouts were an amazing! Order extra sauce on the side.

I received a couple recommendations to try this place so we finally did for my birthday. My bf made dinner reservations a week in advance. Cafe Whitney is located in the Whitney hotel, the restaurant is huge and decorated very nicely. Our server Derek was great! As for the food, I've had better. We ordered the bruschetta and karaage chicken to start. As you can see from the photos, the bread was burnt. The karaage chicken is probably the only thing I liked. I ordered the salmon pasta, my bf ordered the steak and my daughter ordered the shrimp pasta. All the entrees lacked salt and the salmon was overcooked. For the prices and the recommendations, I was expecting the food to be incredibly delicious. Unfortunately it was not. I would try again for brunch but it would not be my first choice.

The ambience was nice and the staff was friendly. As far as the food goes, it was ok, portions were incredibly small and food was overpriced. Nothing is worse leaving a restaurant after dinner and still being hungry, I will not be coming back.

Had another great dinner at Cafe Whitney. This was our fourth time and we've been impressed by the consistency of the food and service. This time we brought several friends and everyone raved about the food. The short ribs, brussel sprouts and beet salad are amazing. Our waiter Cristian was excellent. We'll definitely be returning.
