First time there yesterday and ordered chicken tikka masala. The food was Fire I just wished they put more chicken in. Chicken portion was very low. I think I had about 4 maybe 5 pieces mostly it was the sauce. I did request extra sauce but just wished they threw in more chicken. Aside from that I will def be going there again. If I gotta pay extra for more chicken I’d do that because that was the best chicken tikka masala I’ve had in Reno/sparks area.

It's a bit of an unfair comparison since this is takeout/delivery only, but I was very impressed with Clay Oven. I really loved Royal Indian, until I made the mistake of reading the health department reports (check the Washoe Eats app from Northern Nevada Health). And Bawarchi and Indian Kabab & Curry both served me samosas that were cold in the middle. And it seems most of these restaurants have less than stellar interiors. So Clay Oven doesn't suffer these shortcomings by virtue of not having dine-in, but even ignoring this, the food was outstanding. Highly recommended.

Ordered via UberEats. The order that came to me was wrong. Got Samsoa Chaat instead of Samosas. Ordered butter chicken and got tikka masala. No way of noting this error in UberEats. The Masala is VERY sweet, overly so and not at all like more authentic masala’s I’ve had in the past. The Chaat is also sweet, not terribly so like the Masala. The naan tastes older; ordered garlic and got plain naan. I won’t be ordering again due to this due to the cost and the wrong items were made and delivered.

***Advise to future patron/s***The food truck parked outside is not active, you need to walk into the gas station's mart to get ur food. We got there after placing order thru door dash...drove away because no one was at the truck and no one picked up the phone no. that was provided. Call back a few times... finally someone picked up. Told us, we need to walk into the mart to get the food. Luckily we were just at Sam's Club. Drove back, glad we did.The food was fabulous, we ordered chicken n lamb biryani...both a tad dry (a bit more curry would be excellent)but taste is spot on. Chicken Tikka Masala also very good. We would most definitely visit again. Well done chef !!!Would b a 5 * if we didn't have to drive back to the mart ?

The food is ALWAYS amazing! Tonight I opted for the Dal Makhani (medium spice) Navratan Korma (mild) samosa plate and garlic naan. I took pictures but they never do the Clay Oven's delicious flavor profiles any justice. I've had the butter chicken in the past and it was so tender and mouth watering, a great selection of meat and vegetarian dishes here. Try em out!

Called ahead by 30 minutes, and showed up to find it in the back of a gas station. They didn’t even light the grill until I got there so my food took over an hour to get.Bone in chicken was hacked up leaving splinters of bone scattered in the food. The curry was just a puddle of grease filled with meat and bone chunks.

Just way too oily. Taste is good but the crazy amount of oil ruined the otherwise fine curry. Took a few bites but I felt weird and didn't wanted to get acidity so hard to throw away the rest. Next time I will definitely specify in my order to go very low on

If you know, you know. This place is special. Epitome of not letting looks deceive you. Extremely nice people, equally delicious food.

Best Indian food hands down in Reno. Period. They're polite and always have my wife and i's food ready within 15 minutes. We usually order the butter chicken with an extra side of rice because it's so much food. Also, never forget to get the garlic Naan bread to dip. Don't walk, RUN there now. Trust me.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggies optionsParking: They're busy alllllll the time

It's in a gas station/convenient store, but the food was delicious. The nan was so garlicky and freshly made. The Tika chicken marsala was delicious, and the spices were perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful when ordering.

It's some of the best Indian food around. I was pleasantly surprised about the quality and flavor of the food after my first impression of their location. Must try! Garlic Naan and Tikka Massala are divine.
