Those of us who've been boozing for awhile usually have a certain idealized version in our heads of what a dive bar is. That means we can be picky about them. (Which seems kind of counterintuitive - picky about a dive bar, yes? But it happens.) We were in Reno for St. Patrick's Day, visiting from Orange County CA, and Filthy McNasty's was on our list to visit, along with some other bars. All of them turned out to be pretty good; McNasty's, however, is the only one getting a written review from me. And that's because it was, in this drinker's estimation, the best. The owner was awesome. The staff was friendly and fun. The denizens were charismatic and approachable. The character of the place was spot-on; rough edges and sweetness in perfect balance. You can probably tell I'd be able to ramble on further, but that would take up precious cocktail time. Get over there for a beer already.

Awesome environment. The bartender made our whole group feel like we were important and gave us individual attention even though the bar was packed! The guy was amazing, and had his dog watching the pool table while he dazzled us and making cocktails for seemingly 10 patrons at a time. Great time, never waited more than 1 minute for a drink with a full bar. Outstanding!Parking: Parking right in front and around the side. Plus you can leave it overnight without worrying about getting towed!Wheelchair accessibility: very wide, double doors and open pathways

My boyfriend and I visited twice last week. The atmosphere is so fun and welcoming. The staff remembered our names. One huge selling point for my boyfriends is the Spacedust IPA they have on tap. We got schooled by some local pool sharks but had a blast doing so. It's doggo friendly so we made many new pupper friends too.

Typical Irish pub and the bartender was super nice! We love that they are dog friendly! Only negative is that they allow smoking inside. But for smokers it's a win-win!

THIS IS MY FAVORITE BAR EVER. I came here in February and never left, it’s now November. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy. They always remember your drink when you walk in. They play great music, the atmosphere in general is a great vibe. The bar and bathrooms are always clean. You can play pool on Sundays for free. Once you enter this bar it is very hard to leave, so beware!!! You’ll be here for awhile!!! Enjoy my photos!
