Yummy sushi, reasonable prices, and relaxing atmosphere. What else do you need? Also, no samurai so it's safe ?

It was the second time I've been disappointed with a restaurant. One server female with glasses should learn more about service. pls teaching her more about what she should do or not.

Good sushi! It's nice to see new restaurants popping up. This place was good not a bad sushi place.

With the inherent limitations in the variety and quality of sushi-grade fish available in the area, they are very creative with their dishes. Everything I tried tasted good and fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Small sushi restaurant with a pretty limited sushi menu. The food is good but staff seemed overworked and messed up our orders. It was also very loud in the restaurant.

Was our 1st experience at this restaurant and was incredibly disappointed. Worst sushi experience in my life. Ordered 3 rolls and a various nigiri so I had a decent variation of their menu. Ordered the lobster roll, which I was the most excited about, to be sorely disappointed that it was just a California roll doused in microwaved mayonnaise and topped with lobster that tasted nothing like lobster but a whole lot of Smokey. Everything we ordered tasted as if it was drenched in liquid smoke so much so we barely could stomach the taste of anything. Left with not being able to finish our plates and upset stomach’s. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Such an amazing addition to our neighborhood! The food is delicious, the service is always friendly and welcoming and the ambiance is as expected. This is my go-to for my sushi fix and bonus points for locationThanks so much Kuma!

Went with a group! The food was awesome. Service was a little slow with around 8 of us. Ended up being there for about 2-2.5 hours. Did all you can eat sushi and liked pretty much every roll we got. The appetizers were also really good. Would definitely go back, maybe with a smaller group.

Fantastic sushi. Interesting Japan meets Cabin decorations. I’ve been there twice and both times it was excellent, yet slow.

Kuma was good and affordable sushi. We liked the yellowtail a lot last night. We ordered a la carte and most people went all you can eat. We saved a little not doing all you can eat but we probably would have ate more if we did. Our only issue was they are not allergy friendly. We are gluten free and they could not help us with various menu items because they did not know the ingredients of the dish. They waitresses did not want to ask the chef for help and stated there was a language barrier. They do have gf soy sauce. I felt the service was lacking and they run around but never make eye contact or stop to ask how you are doing.

Fresh and delicious sushi; attentive service, zen ambiance. Love this place. Absolutely would recommend it.

I hate to write this review as we were so excited to try this place. We tried to go there for a date night on Saturday and they were packed with a 90 minute wait. We figured the sushi must be great for it to be so busy so we decided to go there for lunch when we had a chance. It was not busy when we arrived and we were seated right away. service was slow despite what looked like a full staff. We had to ask several times for water and remind them what rolls we ordered. Unfortunately, the food itself was some of the worst sushi I've had ever. The fish seemed smelly, a bit slimy, and chewy for both the salmon nigiri and tuna nigiri. The mussels we ordered smelled odd as well. The rolls were full of mayonnaise no matter what roll we ordered(California, Alaska, Mountain). It seemed as though they used a lot of different sauces on the rolls and nigiri to cover up the fishy smell and taste. We both left feeling ill and disappointed not only with the quality of the food and service, but also with the price we paid for such a poor experience. With so many good options for sushi in Reno, we will not be back.
