I went to hot pot here as I have many times before. The staff is always so nice and the hot pot is delicious!! It is all you can eat for 90 minutes, but we never last the full 90. I highly recommend this place!

I went on a Sunday midday and was told only dim sum was being served. This was a small surprise, but I thought I'd try it anyway. It is $6 for all dim sums with portions varying from 2 to 4 per order. There was also a sesame udon dish for $8.We ordered a few things, but none were remarkable and the udon was borderline bad (soggy and strange sesame dressing-type sauce). Especially at that price point, it didn't feel worth it at all - the udon in particular. Frozen then overcooked noodles and a strange sauce were what it tasted like. For a restaurant with the name NoodleBox, I guess I expected more. The atmosphere was also strange and hard to put a finger on. Flowery tablecloths with Latin music in a Thai(?) restaurant.I hate to rate it this low, but the experience was far below average.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp

Highly recommend stopping in here for some noodle soup!! I have a gluten allergy and was excited to find out that quite a few of their noodle soups (and other dishes) are gluten-free. It is very hard to find GF noodle soup in Reno so this was an amazing discovery. Menu isn't labeled but just ask as they are super friendly and knowledgeable.

OK, after being snowed in for a couple of days, decided to meet friends here for Dim Sum. I'd like to give you a list and show you the pic, but I just let my daughter order (since I had no idea of what was what). Different types of dumplings, porridge, shrimp toast, and much more. All Ican say, that they were all delicious. Next time I'll remember to take photos and identify the yummy foods that I ate.

We were able to make it in for Tuesday night shabu finally and it was such a great experience. All you can eat hot pot just like at home for only $25. An expansive selection of meats and veggies to choose from and unique and flavorful broths. I think the spicy broth had some lemongrass in it which was really a nice flavor. And the dipping sauce was not what I was expecting. I'm used to a saltier base sauce but the sesame sake sauce was perfectly flavorful to dip the veggies in especially after they've been cooking in the spicy broth. The owner was so attentive and friendly. He kept encouraging us to eat more and he checked on us very often. It was a great meal to share with friends and really fills a hole our food community is lacking in! The new location is bright and spacious and so welcoming.

My first time checking out the new and improved version of Rice Box Kitchen! Same owner, new location, more space, expanded menu. I had been to Rice Box Kitchen for High Tea Dim Sum and Shabu Shabu hot pot, both were fantastic experiences. I have been excited to try out this new spot! I didn't realize it was an order-at-the-counter place. With this new setup, they can certainly increase the amount of customers they serve. They have a lot more tables than the old location and dining is much quicker with this setup as opposed to seated service. The inside is spacious, filled with bright colors, and has another amazing mural on the wall! We had pot stickers as an appetizer, it came with 5 of them and they were perfectly fried. My husband ordered the Thai Boat Noodles (one of their most popular) and I went with the Tom Yum Noodles. Our food came out so fast, less than 10 minutes! We were impressed by how affordable our noodles were ($15 each) and the serving sizes were large. The broths were quite different but both were delicious. Plenty of meat and other toppings added in. This was the perfect winter meal. We were in and out of here in less than 45 mins! Staff still came by to check on us despite ordering at the counter. I'm excited to come back to try other menu items again soon!

There are some places that you just have to review because they are so so so delicious that other people need to go there to make sure it stays open so I can keep eating all the deliciousness. Noodle Box Kitchen is that place. I came here tonight for a super quick dinner. The person who took my order was so friendly and welcoming. The place is much bigger than their previous location and there are many places to sit. It's super clean with great music playing so I didn't mind waiting while they cooked my dinner. I didn't wait long because my dinner came out super fast. And it was sooooo good. The egg noodles...melt in your mouth yum. The other ingredients were diverse and interesting with a mix of textures from crunchy to soft. I loved every bite. This place is perfect. Don't change a thing!

I was down with a terrible cold that had me craving noodles and broth. In my Yelp wanderings, I was reviewing some places around town, and nothing was quite hitting the spot. Until I got to the Noodle Box Kitchen page, and my stomach actually growled for the chicken noodle soup. Even before I picked it up, I could tell the broth would be homemade and that it would go far beyond the chicken soup I'd be making on my own if I had the energy. First of all, I want to say thank you to Perapol for always showing up with friendly, welcoming customer service. True to the theme of the restaurant, you *do* feel like you could come in and trade a little gossip and laugh a bit. And this visit was no exception: Perapol was warm and kind even while I sounded like death (quick note so you know I was a conscientious customer: I was past the time for mass contagion--otherwise, I wouldn't have gone out). On getting home, I have to say that the first thing I loved was that the noodles were apart from the soup so they wouldn't get all soggy. And that broth was truly healing: it tasted, first of all, like actual chicken, and it was clear and simple and not overly salty. The chicken was perfectly tender, and the cabbage was the perfect vegetable with it. Once I'm fully healed, I'm heading back for the dim sum and shabu shabu. Hopefully, my friend circle will cross over with Perapol's so that we can gossip about some folks. :-)

I've been dreaming of the khao soi curry broth since the first time I tried it at a Yelp event! Now that rice box kitchen and noodle box are merged, I knew I could find that sweet but spicy and coconuty broth here again- with a new twist fried chicken topper that was tender and juicy! Definitely get the noodles at this Thai street food inspired joint. Ambiance is casual, you order and pay at the register. The giant mural pays homage to SF golden gate and the biggest little city, it's super creative and bright. Most of the appetizers we tried (corn fritters, egg rolls and dumplings) were heavily fried and greasy so I wouldn't order again, but I would definitely recommend ordering half a dozen, if not more, chicken curry puffs, they have the perfect flakiness and are filled with thick potato and savory spicy chicken for three perfect bites! They are kind of like a Southeast Asia empanada. So so good! I also think the food was a little on the warm side rather than piping hot steaming. Really thoughtful, focused and curated menu - can't wait to come back to try other items like the boat noodles and Tom yum soups!
