This North Carolina-themed biscuit place offers authentic, flaky Southern-style biscuits with a variety of toppings. I opted for the very first one on the menu: the Reggie. It's a stacked chicken breast, bacon, and cheese biscuit topped with either sausage or mushroom gravy. (I opted for the sausage gravy.) It was excellent. I added an extra 3oz of gravy and a lemon meringue pop tart alongside a cup of coffee. All total this was approx. $26.50.As a native North Carolinian I can attest that they're "doing it right". Apparently, the owners are from The Pine State as well, so that explains the name. (NC is also called "the Old North State" for the answer to the question no one asked.). For those wondering, Cheerwine is a beloved local soft drink made in Salisbury, NC since 1917 - hence the sign on the wall - although they don't carry it here. Try it if you're in the Carolinas. And try Sundrop too.I'll certainly be back. The next time I plan to try the BBQ biscuit made with pulled pork and slaw.

Had to wait fifteen minutes in line to order. Spent $20 on one Reggie biscuit and an OJ ($6?!). A table finally opened and we were able to be out of the way. Asked the miserable looking server for a rag to wipe the table down, it never came. Waited a true thirty minutes for my one biscuit before asking for a follow up. She brought it to me shortly after, with a cold slice of cheese on top and no apology. I wished her a good day anyways and her face was as dead as we went in.Food was flavored well. And bro, wipe down your giant fig plant’s leaves, the dust is gross (and bad for the plant)

The Reggie deluxe was excellent! Delicious gravy, not too salty like some places, chicken was juicy. Bacon had a nice smokey flavor

Best southern breakfast food you’ll find outside the South. Can’t recommend it enough - the food and atmosphere make this a great spot in the neighborhood.

No service to speak of. Crowded. You seat yourself, you get your own coffee, you clean and bus your own table. Regardless of if you enjoy the food, they are doing everything in their power to make tipping a bad idea.

The food here was great, but we waited 30 minutes for it when the place was nearly empty (didn’t even bring our drinks before then). They then got totally swamped, so I can’t imagine how long people needed to wait for their food. They def seemed under staffed for a Saturday
Awesome spot! There was a group of 7 of us. We all got a bit of something different.Everything was great!!Blueberry pancakes were amazing (triple stack was $12)Loved the biscuits and gravy! I and there was a chicken biscuit sandwich was so great/ the Reggie.I only grabbed one picture it was for a build your own. Mainly because the price seemed great for future inexpensive stops.
