I recently dined at this Asian restaurant in Reno, and it's a must-visit. The food is amazing, the people are great! The shrimp toast was a standout, perfectly crispy and flavorful. Gabe's sangria was a lychee bomb. And the soft shell crab is a seafood lover's dream. Highly recommended for great food and a fantastic atmosphere!

Good food. But like the epidemic across the country, they expect a tip on the iPad….AND they have the nerve to make you BUST YOUR OWN TABLE. Food’s already overpriced, now you want me to clean up? Tables also are covered with a cheap plastic mat, not the best quality to be eating on esp with what we now know about plastic interaction with hot food.Owner’s rude. Please do better.

I decided to try this place for lunch yesterday. I got the Khao Moo Dang and it was was really good. It was a little pricier than I typically spend on lunch, but it was definitely worth it. I plan to take my parents/husband here next time they decide to spend my lunch break with me. I NEED the recipe for their house chili sauce - perfect balance of spicy and sweet.Kid-friendliness: It is separate but part of the same building that the Discovery Museum is located in. When I went, there were plenty of families with children at a variety of ages.

Food was excellent, very tasty with the crunch you want on the cutlet. Cute environment, and good amount for $.

Tasty, gracious, reasonable.Rice Box kitchen has become a staple of food in midtown reno, it is reliably good, has completely reasonable prices, and kind staff. Their dim sum is genuinely some of the best I've ever had, and it introduced me to the wider world of Cantonese food in general. I think that anyone who is in the area could not go wrong with a visit to this overall very good spot.

I come here to get genuine hotpot once a week, very hard to come by in Reno. Service is fantastic, food is really good. The owner is very accommodating and genuinely cares about the guests. They have tasting menus and dimsum as well as their regular day menu. I highly recommend it.

The food was good but the service was horrible. The owner was very rude and had a major attitude just because we had not had this experience of dining before. It was our first time going to a place that did hot pot. Seemed kinda condescending when explaining and made it very clear you only get 90 minutes. Which is fine, you got a time limit cool, but made it feel like we were being rushed to get out like we were hindering the rest of the buisness for being walk ins. Not once checked in with our table throughout the time we were there, neither did the rest of the staff yet there wasn't that many people there. The one time he or staff did check in was to just remind us there was a BILL as if we weren't going to pay, but we watched them check in with every other table and be pleasant with them offer them more items, apparently they also had ice cream there? We weren't offered that before we were done like the others were, so I don't know if Reservations are just treated nicer than walk ins or that's just their passive-aggressive way of telling people to get out like you're not really worth their time? Also seems like he doesn't take criticism very well, or handle it professionally. For the price we paid i think it nearly totaled to $200.00 it honestly wasn't worth the experience or the food, if you wanna spend the money go somewhere else.

Where do I even start?!? We came in on the weekend for their Hot Pot and mind me, this is my first time trying it out and experiencing it. It was definitely beyond what I expected!!! From the service to the freshness of the meat, spectacular! The customer service here is just fantastic! You get greeted as soon as you walk in and seated as quickly as possible. Also, throughout our time here. The constantly checked to make sure we were good or needed to order anything else in a respectful manner, which was lovely and all that!! The appetizers were incredibly delicious, hot and fresh as they came out. I seriously can not wait to come back for round 2!With a solid and unique atmosphere, delicious food and fantastic service. I highly recommend coming here!!Thank you!

Do not sleep on this spot! What they do, they do RIGHT! The flavors are loud and proud, delightfully balanced, cooked to PERFECTION. I can't believe I waited so long to come here. Perfect portion size for some comfort food goodness!

Don't let the minimalistic appearance fool you, the food at rice box is full of wonderful flavors! Upon entrance, we were greeted and assisted by a lovely worker named Rachel who answered any questions we had and immediately gave us a warm feel to the restaurant. We ordered the khao mun gai, which is a Thai chicken and rice dish, and khao soi gai, a curry chicken noodle dish. The khao mun gai looks so simple, but packs so much flavor down to the single grains of rice! I couldn't get enough. The chicken was soft and juicy and went perfectly with the rice. It's served with pickled vegetables that brought me back to my childhood and added a great contrast to the flavors in the chicken and rice. The khao soi gai was also so wonderful. The vegetables gave a wonderful variety of textures agains the chewy noodles, and the peanut flavor that came through with the curry brought everything together wonderfully.Mid-meal, Rachel came out and offered us two samples of their mochi, and wow is all I can say!! The texture of the mochi had just the right amount of chew and the flavors were subtle and pleasant! Learning this from my mother, the best complement you can get for a dessert is saying that it wasn't too sweet, and that's 100% applicable for both flavors od mochi. The mango mochi had just the right amount of flavor which out overwhelming your taste palette. I will be back for more!Rice box is truly a great addition to our community and I'm excited to see it fluorish!

The interior is definitely very cute and modern. Even though it’s our first time here, we could tell there were quite a couple of regulars in the restaurant. We liked what we have ordered overall. I really enjoyed the garlic sauce for the chicken rice I ordered. The only thing I like a bit less would definitely be the takeaway boxes they use even though we were dining in…
